((I think that some people would like it if you let them fight their own evil sides, instead of having assistance. Pikachu, I don't think you cared, but I think it'd be better if we don't intrude in each other's battles or magicants, for that matter, without asking them. kay?))
I'll be damned. Luna is even more into the hanging out with waffle thing than I realized.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it; pretty much anyone with any sense would be actively avoiding 3164. You'll note she's made no effort yet at preempting the much more normal EBPoo.

(Luna, I'm not interfereing in your battles in Magicant - In fact, I've made a point of staying away from battles in in other people's Magicants. I just figured, hey, SuperSpeedy said we're heading to your Magicant, I guess I have no choice. I would really like to hang around with you, but if you really don't want me around you, I'll leave.)
Don't be too hard on him, he's only like 11. I'm harsh on people like Chris and EBPoo when they display cluelessness in flirting, because they're old enough that they should know better. 3164's just a kid trying his damnedest to be cool. Obviously trying to argue with her is a very bad way to play it, but then, if 3164 knew how to play it we wouldn't be here.
I know, I know, I just defended 3164. I'm going soft and should probably retire.

"All right, I've bothered Luna. Now I will search for the fabled ninth melody. I wonder what it's called..." Poo was at the Sea of Eden.
Wow, EBPoo left treadmarks getting away from Luna after she coldly shot 3164 down. The preemptive retreat there was probably a smart thing to do. And you'll notice the other smart thing he's doing--going off and doing something else on his own as if that was his plan all along.
Earlier that month, Poo was afraid to venture into the sea because of the Krakens swimming around. Now Poo felt as bold as bold font. He was going to get the ninth melody no matter what sea creatures were obstructing his path. "Krakens, here I come!" yelled Poo.
Yeah, or more like he read some recent posts and realized Krakens are freakin' sissies. Now he's born to hunt Krakens!

Off the horizon of the battlefield where lavos and the battling AC's stood, walked a limp, haggared body.

"No...one...would....gimme..a ride...*Ooof..*" Sir collapsed.
Welcome back, Major Asshole! I missed you.
Lavos, oddly concerned with the human, said "Sir! Are you Okay?!"

"Lavos? That you? Buddy?" (So I'm friends with the ultimate evil the Earth has ever faced. Read up on NTSkittleboy's clasic IF: Sleepover vrs. 2.beta. I think that's what it was called. But the point is me and Lavos go way back)
LOL. I hope Major Asshole sticks around. He's one of the most consistently entertaining writers here. And since Lavos is nobody's AC, by rule no one can try and tell Major Asshole he can't be Lavos's frat brother.
"Yep. Here, lemmie help you up." A purple glow shot at Sir and he imediatly jumped up. "Hey! What did I tell you about using magic on me!!"

"Sorry, Sir, but you were looking pretty bad.."

"Your right, your right..sorry. Well, how's it goin?"

"I'd tell ya, Sir, but it's getting kinda complicated.."
Again, Tengu and Falcon are going to get pissed, but there's nothing they can do short of trying to peer pressure Major Asshole into desisting. Lavos is free game.
"Ouch, what happened to your eye?"

"Actualy, I'm kind of in the middle of a battle here..umm, if you'ld like to gimme a hand.."

"Hey, now you know my views about pure evil and the destruction of humanity."

"Right, right. Forget I brought it up."

"Cool. So, Lav, how important is this battle, anyways?"

"Well, I can't quite figure it out just yet, you see, it all started when Crono was screwing around with the time machine and...."

*AHEM* was the loud exclimation heard from all the AC's on the battle field

"Heh, better tell me about it later. Lunch next Saturday?"

"Only if we both survive, of course.."

"Ahh, Lavos..you crack me up. Take it easy, alien freak!"

"Later, ya pityful human. Gwhaaha! Ok, now where was I.."

Sir, fully recovered, continued to hitchhike across the now vast island. (Somebody pick me up if they want to) And the intense battle between Lavos versus everyone else abruptly continued.
That post was so amazing. I am nominating that for Greatest Post of the Gathering (so far), along with most of Chris's posts and a couple of Falcon24's dramabombs. This post has everything: Laughs, absurdity, and best of all, directly making sneering fun of the dolts that are wrapped up in this Kill Lavos, Save World nonsense.

(Pikachu, I've got nothing againest you. Your cool in my book. And I wasn't actually talking to you, more to superspeedy. Sorry 'bout that.)
That's a very odd thing to claim, Luna, seeing that you addressed 3164 by name when you politely asked him to leave you alone. And seeing that, as far as I can tell--though SuperSpeedy's posts are so trippy I admit I might simply have read them wrong--SS/MB is not trying to interfere with Luna. I'm calling BS on this post. Luna just feels bad she made the little kid cry.

(Thanks, Mog!)
My sentiments exactly!
Since the battle had re-begun, Tim had been fighting for almost two hours. Evil Mani Mani had used few healing spells, yet Tim was sipping the super drink(400HP and PP) every fifth turn.
It's not so much that he's AC God Modeing incessantly that bewilders me. It's the fact he ceaselessly has to point out specifically HOW he's doing it. Does he honestly think anyone cares?
"Thunder Omega!" Evil Mani Mani called out.
3 strikes hit Tim.
That is an extraordinarily lucky Thunder Omega, seeing as how each strike has only a 25% chance of connecting. Also since he has the Shield of Invincibility up, as always.
"PSI Ultima Epsilon!" Tim shouted in return. Ultima was his strongest spell, Tim found out.
"Starstorm Omega!" Evil Mani Mani shouted.
"How may PP does this guy have?" Tim moaned.

Then, it struck him.

"Ohhh...no." Tim said sadly. He was homesick. He got homesick quite easily, but he had managed to hold out until now. Tim burst into tears, and felt fear.
In Soviet America, fear feels YOU.
"PSI Special Omega! Again! AGAIN!" Evil Mani Mani roared.
It had been five turns from his last drink, but Tim didn't sip it.
"PSI Deathblow!" Evil Mani Mani yelled. Tim hadn't heard this before. A black slash came over him, and he fell to the ground, apparently dead.
You can tell I'm bored because I'm poorly citing internet memes from like eight years ago. Bored, bored, bored.
Tim landed in the middle of a pool in Magicant, but didn't know where he was.
"Where...?"
Damn. His primal urge to do what the cool kids are doing finally caught up with him and ended the Mani Mani stupidity.... for now.

The Lumine wall which circumnavigated Anthadd's Magicant was flowing rapidly with unreadable thoughts.
Because he's thinking in Klingon?
Anthadd himself was journeying to the end of the twisting path of his Magicant, avoiding many battles as he went.
Why does everyone's Magicant have to have a twisting path? I always thought this was stupid so I didn't participate in it, but now I kind of wish I had just so my Magicant can feature a straight road, paved with brand new blacktop and ten feet long.
But at times, the battles were too hard to evade, and he had to fight. With each battle he fought, he was further weakened, and eventually had to crawl.
One last enemy neared. No, not THAT!
A Care Free Bomb, juggling a Super Bomb.
Anthadd's eyes flickered, and he knew he was defeated.

In the sky, the rock-sun wobbled more, almost out of orbit and about to crash into Magicant.

The writing-wall had one last flash before it crumbled away: I now can heal myself with PSI.
You think I'm going to make fun of him, but instead I'll be charitable and commend him because, realizing no one is paying the slightest attention to him, Anthadd has successfully resisted the urge to whine and bitch and instead done something himself about it. Even if it's unoriginal, that still counts for something.

YES!! I actually fistpumped just now when I saw Chris's name re-appear.
PSI322 last posted content at #720, after which Chris posted three times, waited a day, posted one more time, and then stopped posting. It's been four days since then and PSI322 still has not posted (though she DID post in her Admin capacity shortly after Chris's #774, but has avoided posting content, presumably because of Chris) and now Chris just going to go on ahead and yank her AC along some more. I couldn't be happier!
After several days of recuperating, Juliana and Chris set out again.
Right. "Recuperating."
The palm trees gently tilted in the breeze, and the sound of water rushing down the river was relaxing. The two managed to avoid any further fights until they reached Tenda Village.
Well, how hard can that be? They're not even married yet.
Thinking that it would be fun to explore Tenda Village, they entered and soon had arranged for a room.
You know that phrase "get a room"? That's exactly what Chris was thinking. I know it seems like I'm picking low-hanging fruit here, but... I really, truly am. The jokes write themselves, because they're barely even jokes.
"Hmmm...you seem weak. Go to the store, and see what we have. You may take whatever you need." the boss Tenda said.

"Thanks." Chris and Juliana replied.

The two of them walked over to the weapons store, and soon, Chris had an Ultimate Bat, and Juliana had a Holy Fry Pan. Now that they had weapons, they could set out again through the Lost Underworld...
So nothing actually happened here. I mean, not that anything happens in even the best of Chris posts, but he's just prodding to see if PSI322 is ever going to write again. And probably pestering her on AIM about it, too. If she hasn't stopped signing on AIM.

"If everything goes the way it's going, we'll probably have to fight our evil side. And I dunno about you, but I'm not quite ready yet. Besides, we havn't explored half of this place!" Luna said to Waffle.
Translation: This paint-by-number fight evil side, get melody stuff is stupid. Let's write something fun instead.
"Yeah, we should look around first... this place is HUGE!" Waffle answered.
"Probably because this is a combination of two minds instead of just one." Luna mumbled. "So let's get going!"
You've got to hand it to Luna, she is not tempted to do something stupid and boring just because everyone else is.

All right! That's two entertaining writers I have long missed reappearing only two posts apart!
"We have to run for it!" said Ton.
"No, we have 6 mellodies right?
Melodies.
we need all 10 to beat this... thing."
the form of Lavos's attack was inexplicable...
It is inexplicable that loid correctly spelled "inexplicable."
"What the? AHHHHHHHHHH....!"
Kiyo, Ton and the Lavos Spawn fell through the ground and landed in Fire springs deep beneth the earth.
Beneath. And honestly, I had forgotten all about the Lavos Spawn silliness.
"This is your sanctuary, but its mine now, oh you know the rest"

(Rather than write another boring battle sequence thats excessivly long, I'll just say Kiyo and Ton, with the help of the baby Lavos, indiscriminatly laid the smack down on Carbon Dog.)
Excessively; indiscriminately. But those are long words anyone might get wrong. Also: Awesome points to loid for not only avoiding the masturbatory excessively detailed fight sequence, but making fun of it while he was at it. Well played, loid, well played.
Kiyo and Ton's sound stones recorded the melody of Fire Springs.
"All right! thats 7 melodies now I.......*"

"what the hey? woah Im in magicant!"
Kiyo's magicant was well, very different from Ness's. There were Earthbound Characters, CT characters, proffesional wrestlers and trees that grew candy.
I don't know how trees that grow candy haven't been mentioned yet.
"Hmmm, I have a weapon and experiance, but If I want to survive this place I need a flying man."
Kiyo walked in the flying man house, got a flying man that looked like Mick Folley and went into the sea of Eden.
LOL. He meant Mick Foley, who I think was/is a WWE guy.
Meahnwhile in Ton's Magicant...
Meanwhile.

(If they let me bring in 2 ACs, I bet you can, too! I'm not using my 1st one as I use to.)
...I don't even know what that means. I'm guessing this is his clumsy effort at challenging PSI322 to actually smack him down, by way of not using one of his ACs for a few posts and then casually bringing him back in. But he made one fatal miscalculation: guruzeth is reading this now.
Poryhedron, knowing where Pikachu is, teleported to the Lost Underworld.
"Hey Pika!" said Poryhedron. "I'll be following you!"
"PIKA!" said Pikachu. [You're stalking me?]
Hey, that's two stalkers in the Lost Underworld now! Clearly what we need here is Stalker vs. Stalker in a steel cage match to the death.
"PORY! No!" said Poryhedron. "I gave you a stuffed Bowser, remember?"
[Oh, yeah,] he said. [But I have one.]
Yeah... stalkers frequently buy things for their stalkees. It makes them more creepy, not less.
"What's that?" said Poryhedron. He heard a voice.
[That's Luna,] said Pikachu.
"No," said Poryhedron. "What's that?" he added, pointing behind Pikachu.
Wow, that was the most sensible SS/MB post ever. Are we sure that was really him at the keyboard?

Luna was surronded by people she had met once or twice during the party. She fought her way to a corner of the dark cave and clicked on her walkie-talkie.
LOL. Gotta love her wry acknowledgment of all the attention she gets.
"Waffle! Come in, Waffle!" Luna said into the walkie-talkie.
"I'm still here!" Came the reply "I'm at the shiny spot!"
Luna groaned. "I'm surronded with people. And I'm in one of the bottom caves. I'll be out of her in a minute, though!"
Luna scrambled out of the cave, and looked around. She saw a Lava flow, and headed towards it. Suddenly, somthing taped her on the shoulder.
I hate it when I get taped on the shoulder. I have to take the whole shirt off to get the tape off.
"Boo." said the soul-consuming flame.
"GWAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" Luna screamed, and fell over backwards into the Lava flow.
"GWAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" She screamed again. Then she stopped. Why wasn't it burning her to pieces? Then it hit her: the star pendant! It protected againest fire attacks!
"Heck, all I have to do is SWIM up to the sanctuary now!" She grinned to herself. Soon, she was up on the top ledge besides Waffle.
Yeah, but lava isn't a fire attack. It's like 8,000 degree molten rock. Big difference.
"Right, let's go!" He said, pointing at the shiny spot.
"Kay. Let's go!"
And the two marched on to collect the melody.
Did you guys see that? Someone tried to interfere and Luna ditched them so she could continue running solo with waffle. AGAIN.
waffle, go for it, man! Now is your moment!

(Okay guys, let's get one thing straight.
Yes, let's. Unless it involves having to endure more of your madness. Crap, it does, doesn't it?
LAVOS IS STILL WHERE HE WAS EARLIER, HE IS NOT IN THE CAFE. HE POPPED UP THERE SIMPLY TO SCARE ME.
I don't know why the kid thinks caps lock is necessary. OK, so you're conceding the point, as well you should, great. Let's move on.
Oh, and Darth, well, I know and greatly appreciate your trying to help, but this is duel only Evil Mani Mani and I should fight, so if you don't mind, may I dismiss you in my post?
Oh, he minds. Believe me, he minds.
As well he should, because--and here I am going to use caps lock for emphasis--THIS IS INTERACTIVE FICTION, NOT THE FANFICS SECTION. At this point I have no idea why he's allowed to keep getting away with refusing to allow anyone else to get involved in his action. He is writing a fanfic and posting it to the Gathering because nobody reads anything in the fanfics section.
Lavos is where he was earlier, so you can go fight him. Plus, beating him helps me: Evil Mani Mani uses Lavos's power to help him battle. If you have a disagreement, I guess I could make this a big battle, and also allow Dhsu to join as well)
So noble of you to, you know, offer to interact with someone. On the Interactive Fiction forum.
"FOOLS! Tim must do this on his own!"
"Hey, Apple, do we HAVE to go?" Darth said.
"I'm afraid so, but if you keep praying for Tim, he may gain the ability to defeat Evil Mani Mani. I guess you want to fight Lavos?" The Apple said. Darth's group nodded, and were returned to the battle scene with Lavos.
God this kid does nothing but use the IF board to masturbate.
"Let me see..." Tim thought, looking over all of Mog's gifts."I'll need this!" He said, equipping the Diamondless pendant.
(I need to go, I might edit this post too add-on later)
But he didn't, thank almighty reidman.

(Seeing as that's cleared up, I can continue.
Thank goodness for that, too. I look forward to Tengu posts.
Also, please try and leave later Randites to my attention, since Darth's the only one who knows about them at the moment.)
This from someone who teaches Using Out-of-Character Knowledge In-Character at the graduate level. Also, he still refuses to tell us what the hell Randites are. Presumably he doesn't want one of the kiddies jumping in and declaring the Randites are a race of evil three-eyed Mr. Saturns that talk backwards or something.
Back at Lavos...

"Now where were we?" Darth lunged at Lavos and slashed him, leaving a burning cut on his head.

Lavos roared and shots a spine attack, but Darth deflected it with a counter-slash.

Ness used PSI Rockin Omega, but Lavos ignored it.

Lavos shot his head forward at Darth, knocking him to the ground.
Man, that sounds like a handy head. Can I get one of those?
Mani used PSI Freeze Omega on Lavos, but the damage was minimal.

Darth got up and double-slashed Lavos.

Paula used Offense Omega on the entire group.

Ness then felt a grave feeling, and pure energy from the ground seeped into his body. He rose into the air, and floated above Lavos and screamed, "Terra Smash!"
Obviously it would all be for naught if he didn't scream TERRA SMASH!!!! at the top of his lungs.
A large aqua-green dome of energy appeared over Lavos and collasped on him, doing untold damage. Lavos ALMOST lost his head from the attack instantly...

Lavos prepared another spine attack, directed at Ness.

(Everyone, since Tim and Evil Mani are one-on-one, please let everyone involved in the Lavos fight[my group, Falcon, etc] fight off Lavos. Please do not remove him until the fight is over, etc.)
(BTW, Terra Smash is Ness using pure Earth energy in the form of a magic attack. It equals at least seven thousand HP damage to all targets, but can cost Ness a lot of MP/PSI)
It's cute how he thinks anyone gives a damn what Terra Smash is.

It's amazing he keeps on getting away with trying to outlaw people from doing anything with his plotlines. At this point PSI322 and guruzeth both were tired of fighting him and pretty much left him alone until his megalomaniacism got too far out of hand.

"Help me..." Anthadd's cry for help wafted throughout the Lumine Hall, and faded out.

In his prison, Anthadd was unconscious from lack of air.

(Somebody SAVE me!) a psychic cry exclaimed.
Wow, Anthadd, I really thought you were above doing the exact same thing Foppy King and 3164 have been doing.

Sadly, this link goes somewhere on starmen.net, and since it was 11 years ago, the link is long dead.
At that moment, a message projected itself into Dhsu's mind.

Please, whoever can help me, come here...

Without further hesitation, Dhsu threw a smoke bomb and appeared at the source of the cry. The clashing colors and flashing lights blinded him for a moment, and he quickly closed his eyes to block it all off. He thought he must have arrived at the wrong place when he heard a soft whispering to his left. Taking a peek, he saw a young girl on her knees, praying with all her heart.
Is he talking about Liyoshi? That's awesome of he is.
Tim heard an explosion to his right and immediately looked up. He saw a female ninja shrouded in white robes deflecting the Statue's attacks with her sword. "Goodbye, my name isn't Ushd."

"Oh, don't go away yet!" Tim cried.

"Oh, go away already," Dhsu heard the girl say.

"Are you sure?" he replied as he deflected yet another psychic attack. "I was positive I heard you calling for help..."

"You're not sure?" Tim heard. "I didn't hear anyone calling for help..."

"Oh shoot, everything I say must be reversed in her side of Moonside. I need to think of a way to get her to understand what I'm saying."
OK, that's kind of interesting and in flavor. We can work with that.
By this time, Dhsu realized something was wrong. The cry for help had been distinctly male, yet he saw a girl kneeling when he arrived. Then he remembered his location...Moonside. Everything was exactly the opposite of what it was in the real world, including speech and gender. At the same time, Tim realized the same thing and the two started communicating.
I'm a woman. Did you think I was a man?
"Mit," Dhsu began, knowing that the name would be reversed when it reached Tim's side.
If that's true, everything else he says would have to be in reverse too. (I thought about typing the previous sentence in reverse, but decided f--- it, it would just be annoying to type and annoying to read.)
"I won't try to transport to my side of Moonside so that we can't fight together."

"Oh no," Tim said, chuckling a little at what he was saying, "I won't meet you in a few moments. In the mean time, I'll try not to hold the Statue off."

"Kay-o," Dhsu replied, and in an instant, a male ninja in pitch black clothing appeared next to Tim in the same puff of purple smoke the female one had disappeared in.

"Now we can understand each other, but now is no time for talk," he said. With that, he snatched Tim's sound stone and touched it to Tim's forehead. It began glowing, and the soothing melody began playing in his mind, replenishing his energy. As soon as Tim was healed, Dhsu immediately took the sound stone and, being nearly invisible in his black robes, pressed it against the Mani Mani Statue's head.
Of course! Why didn't Liyoshi think of that before?
I have a feeling that, after spending five posts crying for attention, Liyoshi will now be pissed off.
"Dhsu, what in the world are you doing?!" Tim exclaimed.

"The Sanctuary power of the stone will neutralize the anti-Sanctuary field the Statue is creating," Dhsu said quickly. "Quickly, now is your chance!"
Well, he may have saved his reputation with Liyoshi by letting him do his awesome Chrono Trigger thing uninterrupted.

"I think that's a pretty good plan. So let's head out!" Luna yelled. Just then her, walkie talkie started talking to her.
"Waffle... was that you??" Luna gasped, staring at her walkie talkie.
"I don't think so..."
"...kreepy, with a capital K..." Luna mumbled. "Let's go! The first one to the shiny spot claims the melody!"
"Seeya there!"
So the two Adventurers started towards the Shiny spot.
I guess that means that's their official club title: the Adventuruers!

Mog kicked a rock. (I was completely absorbed in Alundra 2 the last two weeks)
Hmm. I guess that makes it slightly plausible his story about getting a new video game after hurting himself could check out. But I still doubt it. Mog116 recently commented here, so maybe he can clear up whether that actually happened or not for us?
The rock hit a tree, bounced of a bush, and hit Mog sharply in the back of the head. "Wait a minute! Superspeedy has two ACs! Does that mean I can have Two, too?" Mog thought for a moment, then decided which AC to bring in if he could. Then Mog walked over to Tenda Town 2 (Is that were I left?).
WINNER WINNER WINNER!!!

Congratulations Mog116, you get the Awesome Points I promised to the first person to point out that SS/MB has been using two ACs for all of his 20 posts or so. (Presumably because he's the first person to try to read a SS/MB post.)
He got on the computer and tried to find if he could bring in his other AC.
Kind of the lame the way he tried to call him out on it in-character, though. It's one of those things--there are many of these in life--that seem fresh and cool and original, so you try it, but it turns out... no. It's just lame.

Hey! That's right! I have an AC that I really want to add, but I don't want to break the one AC a person rule... PSI? Someone?
Ohhhhh yeah. S--- is now hitting the fan, ladies and gentlemen. Get out your umbrellas. Tengu sighting in 3...2...1...
******
"HEALING PROCESS DONE. EJECTING CRYOGEN VICTIM."
The healing pod then ejected Pikachu, whom then was sent flying at a speed of quite a lot of miles per hour. [AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!]
Good description of the speed there.
He landed 2 feet away from the core of the ship, the exact location of the 9th Sanctuary.
[Hmm.... This reminds me.... I only have Giant Step and Pink Cloud.] Pikachu absorbed the power of Giygas' Spaceship! Pikachu's power levels went up by a lot of numbers!
Also a great description of his power increase. And why do I get the feeling Falcon, Tengu or both is/are going to smack 3164 around for daring to mess around with the Sacred Ninth Sanctuary?
[Now where should I go... I know! Not to many people have Lumine Hall! I'll head there! PSI Teleport Omega!]

Pikachu Teleport Omegaed to Deep Darkness Tenda Village.
Upon walking in, Pikachu saw a spooky shadow...

Only for me to decide what the shadow is!
Actually, it's not. That would be true only if you go ahead and tell us what it is right now. Otherwise, it's fair game for anyone else that wants to decide it, because this is Interactive Fiction.
I need to know if I can bring in 2 ACs like SS/MB did.
You have probably deduced already that he's doing this because he wants the Mysterious Shadow to be his second AC. I'll go ahead and spoil this one for you: PSI322 would not allow more than one AC per character in a billion years. It will be interesting to see how long it is before she shows up and says so, and who tries to push the envelope before then.

Nathan went down into dark Threed. No one was on the streets. He went into the drugstore there and asked the people there what was going on. They told him that all of Eagleland was now under the rule of a large purple swirl and a fat kid and that there were Starmen guards everywhere. Nathan thought that this meant that Gigyas had gotten the power of the sanuaries before Ness could, and he could only have done that with the piece of sound stone that was lost in transport.
None of that makes even the tiniest mite of sense, for a thousand reasons you would be aware of if you'd ever played EarthBound.
Nathan knew that he would have to go farther back in time to find the piece before Gigyas could get it.
I guess he's just bored with the Lavos crap and has decided to try something new. Give him points for not waiting around for somebody else to think of something.

By the way, the rate of posting has once again exploded--after a couple days of ten or fewer posts a day, suddenly we're getting 4-5 posts an hour. I haven't checked, but I would guess 1 May was a Friday or Saturday.
TsuramiSea walked around the coast, wanting to see the perimeter before going to the outside party area. He noticed another figure squatting on the beach, but it wasn't Chris. He went up to the person.

The person grinned widely at seeing TsuramiSea. "BABY-EATER!" he screamed.

TsuramiSea looked surprised for the third or so time that day. "Um, hello..." he said. The other person just stared into his face with his silly grin. "Who are you?" asked TsuramiSea.

"pogopunkBABY-EATER!" shouted the person. TsuramiSea, deciding that this person just like to say baby-eater a lot, detached it, and arrived at "pogopunk". TsuramiSea knew pogopunk from #earthbound.

"Ah, hello. I'm TsuramiSea. What are you doing out here?"

"BABY-EATER!"

TsuramiSea decided that this conversation wouldn't get far. "Ummmm..... I'm exploring the party area. Maybe you could come with me and tell me about it?"
Then why are you continuing this conversation?
pogopunk nodded excitedly and jumped behind Tsurami. Of course Tsurami didn't know that pogopunk would do anything anyone asked him. The two walked to the party area, and they looked around, pogopunk shouting "baby-eater" the whole time. TsuramiSea found this a little disturbing, but although an odd one, he was glad to have a companion.
Man, you must be really desperate for companionship.
TsuramiSea came upon the 16-player N64.
My God! He read the early posts! There's no way he read the middle posts though, the last 300 of them or so.
"OH MY GOSH!" he shouted. "This freakish N64 has 16 controller ports!!! I wonder what games are around?!" He checked the table. "Super Smash Brothers? I'll play that." He popped it in, and connected all 16 controllers, just in case. It was pretty, for there was a controller of every color - grey, blue, red, black, yellow, green, clear purple, clear ice blue, clear jungle green, clear orange, clear watermelon, and gold, plus extras of four of them.
Black is the only winning option, in case you were curious.
The game started up, and Tsurami went to multiplayer mode. Everything was unlocked. After setting the items to very high and the stock lives to 99, Tsurami went to the character select screen.

"16 PLAYER MULTIPLAYER?!" TsuramiSea went insane, selecting 15 computer players. But then he had an idea. "pogopunk! How about a Smash Brothers match?"

"BABY-EATER!" pogopunk claimed the second controller. TsuramiSea picked Kirby.
Picking Kirby is a sure sign of someone who takes winning a little too seriously.
"Do you have a favorite character?" he asked his friend.

"BABY-EATER!" was the reply.
I guess that would also be Kirby, right? Kirby eats everything.
Tsurami sighed. It was no use continuing that conversation. "All right, then, you just be Fox - he's cool."

pogopunk selected Fox. TsuramiSea decided to play Team Battle. Then, he noticed the other special multiplayer feature. "Whoa! Besides 16 player capability, in Team Battle there's not just Red, Blue, and Green teams, but also Yellow, Purple, and Orange! Cool!" TsuramiSea put himself and pogopunk on Orange team, and dividing the 14 other players as evenly as possible into the five other teams, got two players on the Yellow team, and three players on all the other teams. He set all the computer intelligence to 5.
That's pretty pathetic. Computer players on level 9 are still disappointingly easy to roast.
Then, he selected the random course. "Awww, Zebes again? The computer always selects Zebes."
Man, that is the gospel truth right there.
The match began, and there was much smashing and exploding bombs. "Good thing level five computer is too stupid to dodge or stay away from bombs and mines," remarked Tsurami to pogopunk.
So is the level 9 computer, for that matter.
"BABY-EATER!" cried pogopunk. The two played the 16 player, 6 team, 99 stock live battle into the hour.....
As opposed to the 16 player, 6 team, 99 stock tape-delayed battle?

After landing in Onett and making his way through the Giant Step caves, Poo came face-to-face with Titanic Ant himself. "So, mortal, you wish to challenge me?"

"Sure, let's go, Insecto," replies Poo casually like he goes up against giant ants all the time. "Black Antoids, go!" Titanic Ant commanded. Two Black Antoids ran over and began attacking Poo.
In point of fact the Black Antoids that guard Titanic Ant in EarthBound are special Black Antoids that never attack you. The only thing they know how to do is cast Lifeup, and when they run out of PP they continue feebly trying to cast Lifeup until they die.
Poo sprayed a cloud of Insecticide Spray on them and they both fell over, dead. "All right, Red Antoids, go!" Titanic Ant ordered. Two Red Antoids rushed out and began casting PSI Fire spells against Poo.
Which Red Antoids don't do. They do have a very nasty biting attack, though.
"PK Freeze!" Poo shouted as Freeze crystals blasted out and froze the two helpless creatures. "GRRR...Gigantic Ants, go!" Titanic Ant yelled. Two Gigantic Ants jumped out. One of them knocked Poo into a wall and the other stung him with its stinger.

"PSI Starstorm!" Poo yelled as a shower of stars bombarded the two Ants and knocked them off into the chasm below.
This is getting to be too much like a Liyoshi post for comfort. C'mon, Poo, don't let me down!
"Well, well, well, well, well...looks like I'll have to take you on myself, Poo," Titanic Ant said. Poo drew his sword as Titanic Ant drew his Light saber.
I love the randomness of Titanic Ant wielding a lightsaber.
With one quick slice, Titanic Ant cut Poo's sword in half. "M--my--my sword! Noooooooooo! My...master...gave me...that sword for my excellent training in the art of Mu. He...he had to defeat 128 Starmen before he got it...and you...you just sliced it in half," Poo said with rage in his eyes. "Uh...uh...maybe I could glue it back together with Super Glue," Titanic Ant tried to compromise.
Wait, wasn't Titanic Ant already trying to kill Poo? Why doesn't he just cut his head off?
"Glue? GLUE???" Poo yelled before releasing a shower of giant stars on the Ant. Titanic Ant collapsed, but was not defeated yet. Poo quickly grabbed the Light saber, sliced Titanic Ant in half, and threw the saber down the chasm.
I'd think he'd want to keep it, since he lost his sword in all. Also: what chasm?
He used his PSI powers to bond the sword back together and then Poo claimed the power of Giant Step. "Only a few more to go," Poo said to no one but himself.
He's basically doing the same thing Liyoshi's doing, only he's a lot better at it.

Chris woke up when he heard a noise in the cave. "What was that?!?!" He quickly woke up a now-annoyed Nall and quickly rushed in the cave, when he heard something up ahead...

This next part is indented because that's how it was in the original post; StarmanDx, showing spectacularly bad IF form, quoted EBPoo's entire post.

It would be awesome if now Poo was the Sanctuary guardian. You want a melody? Come get it!
"Simple," Poo responded. "I encountered, fought, and beat Titanic Ant. Then collected the Giant Step melody."

"Chris... you still don't have ANY melodies!" Nall griped.

"I know... I KNOW!!" Chris complained. "I was asleep and didn't notice what was going on. Say... want to join up, Poo?"
He might let him follow him around, but join up? I doubt it.

(wow! i didn't know i put all that stuff on 16-player SSB)
(how do you do those dot things?)
He means bulleted lists. I hope to God he never figures out how to do them.
Nathan kneeled down in a prayer position.
Tim's prayer was answered by N-TH--.
-A-HA- felt Tim's danger and prayed for his safety.
My God, why are they doing this? Why??
Finished with that, Nathan continued on his quest for the piece of the sound stone that was lost in teleportation to Tim, knowing that if he did not find this piece, they would never defeat Lavos.
You're probably never going to defeat Lavos anyway. It amazes me that people didn't just find something better to do, rather than submit their plotlines to Falcon24's whims.
He had one clue, the time-space cords of where the piece was teleported to.
'Cords' is not, far as I'm aware, shorthand for 'coordinates'.
He thought, "Uh-oh, this piece went into the past. I wonder where I will end up." He put the cords into his teleportation program and pressed enter. He appeared in 199X, 100 feet above Threed on Eagleland Island. He quickly ran a program to temoraly make the air solid beneath him.
Sigh. No wonder him and Liyoshi are buddies.
To his surprise, the entire island was dark. There were no lights anywhere. He wondered what had happened. "Maybe the time line of Earthbound got changed because a piece of sound stone fell to Eagleland?" he wondered. He knew that if this had happened, it was up to him to put the timeline back on track.
I have no clue what any of that means. It probably means Dr. Andonuts is about to embark on a bizarre new plotline.

After talking for a while, it was agreed that Luna, Waffle, and Mog would go to the Firesprings.
"Actually, if you guys don't mind, I'll stay here." Mog said.
"You wanna stay here? Why?" Waffle asked
"To get some rest, then continue on. Maybe we'll meet up again!"
"That's cool. We'll seeya later!" Luna yelled at Mog as she and Waffle teleported off towards te firesprings.
Wow. She ditched the s--- out of Mog the first instant she could. Again, that's really awful IF form; you don't just write somebody's AC out of your plotline because you don't like them. You ignore them until they take a hint.
This should be a big ego boost for waffy, though: Luna just ditched Mog so she could run around alone with him! That is legitimately exciting.
They landed with a huge bump, and started looking around.
"This place is MONDO huge." Luna gasped, very shocked. She was expecting it not to be half this big... Earthbound the game made it look so... so... SMALL.
That would be the point of giving your characters super-small sprites. It was to convey the notion that the Lost Underworld is huge while conserving resources.
"It's huge!" Waffle mumbled, looking at the place "Yet I still feel like I'm trapped in a box."
"Oh let's just go."
Suddenly, Luna tripped over somthing, and fell flat on her face.
"Oh the paaaaain... what did I trip over!?" Luna whined
"This!" Waffle answered, holding up a beautiful sparkling pendant.
"It's a sea pendant! Awsome! But you can have it. I still have this star pendant I grabbed from those crazy blue guys."
Luna also liked to conserve E's by taking them out of 'awesome'. Why that Sea Pendant makes any difference, I don't know.
"Okay... Now can we go?"
"I hope so."
So Waffle and Luna continued towards the firesprings, hoping that they wouldn't encounter anything overly dangerous.
Like another AC.

[Tim...we require your assistance. We need the melodies...]
[Right away, Osman] Tim replied, sending Osman all the melodies except Magnet Hill, Fire Springs, and #9.
It's bad enough that he's drawing out an irrelevant one-on-one battle that no one cares about for five posts, but it's just really stupid that he's casually psychically communicating with other people and sending them melodies--however the hell that works--in the middle of it.
The Mani Mani Statue was showing no sign of fatigue, unlike Tim. Tim used another Diamond blast, but it only weakened the PSI Shield. The Mani Mani Statue started repeatedly mimicing all that Tim threw at him, and that was not comforting. It mimicked diamond blast, which was destroyed by tim's Psychic Shield.

"I grow tired of this," The Statue said, and suddenly-
IF Rule #29: When in doubt, end your post with "suddenly".

Luna rolled over in the hotel room in fourside. Waffle, Luna, and Mog had had a great day sleeping, and they had needed some rest. It was still dark, but she knew somthing had woken her up.
There she goes with "somthing" again. Ahhh, the nostalgia.
Then she heard it again. A PSI call. Melodies. Somone needed the melodies, but they weren't calling her.
Somone is another Lunaism. She was big on conserving E's.
They were calling Tim.
"Maybe we can finally do somthing useful..." Luna mumbled, pulling the softly glowing sound stone out of her backpack. "Maybe we can end this once and for all..."
Yeah. Maybe not.
And with that, Luna ran out of the room and started banging on Waffy and Mog's door.
"Wakey wakey!" Luna yelled through the door. The door slowly opened to reveal a very tired waffy.
"Luna... It's 3 in the morning!! What's the idea?"
There is no way Luna would ever be asleep at 2:30 A.M., so this post is already patently absurd.
"We need to find out how to get to a guy named Osman. We can finally end this war againest evil!"
"Can't we do this in the morning?" Waffy grumbled
"No! We have to act fast!" Luna replied.
"Right. I'll go wake Mog."
Soon the three were on their way again. They walked out into the cold night air of fourside and looked at each other.
"Now what?"
Now..... we party.
"We send a PSI call to them asking for the location. The sooner we get there, the faster we get this over with."
Or we can do that, I guess. Partying seems just as good, though.

"One hundred books in just over five days. I'm sure bored," Anthadd groaned.
I'm pretty sure he already used that gag.
"And yet, I feel I am not performing to the utmost of my abilities -- Like something is missing."
Thinking about everything, he ran down a list of what he brought. "My hat!" he cried, and rushed out the door, hoping he could get it back from the Lumine Hall.
LOL. I laughed out loud for reals. That post was awesome.

(The character I'm putting in this post already introduced himself, so it's legal.)
That he went out of his way to insist his AC is legal instantly makes me suspect it's not.
TsuramiSea walked around the inland, seeing the empty hotels, gathering halls, and stores. He was excited, but kind of lonely that no one was around. Although he wouldn't be very sociable if he did meet anyone anyway. He decided to go in some of the buildings. The meeting hall had its empty podiums and chairs sitting about, with wrappers all over the floor. After three other buildings, he entered a really big building. He failed to see the sign, "Administrator Palace".
Now that way lies damnation. They feed intruders to guruzeth's ever-burning rage and hate.
*****

"Hmmm, this place is empty too. More fancy though," said Tsurami out loud to himself. Indeed, the carpet was fine and silky, and tapestries hung about. TsuramiSea peeked in empty rooms, some like offices, others like relaxation areas. TsuramiSea opened a door, seeing stairs leading down. It was a basement. Building up his courage, Tsurami plodded downstairs, and into the darkness. But there was a light switch, so some light came on.
The nobles/knaves divide that exists in any culture really pissed TsuramiSea off. This is his way of acting on it. And you know what? I'm actually reading this with interest. It's different from what I've been reading the last 400 posts.
A figure sat downstairs, in a throne, wearing a party hat. "Hello?" it called. "Tomato? EBounding? SOMEBODY? Why hasn't anyone shown up? This is ridiculous! So much for a great SM.Net gathering. I should've spent the ad banner money on prizes or something."

"Huh?" said a puzzled Tsurami. "Who are you? What are you doing down here? The party is outside on the island, you know."

"Nonsense!" cried the person. "The czar of SM.Net proclaims that the party is held down here! Well, it's supposed to be, anyway."

"Czar of SM.Net?" mumbled Tsurami.

"Yes! I am none other than..." The figure stepped into the light, looking very dramatic. "REIDMAN!"
reidman was God at starmen.net. Incidentally, now I see what Tsurami was referring to in his opening parenthetical: that reidman put his AC in the thread, so Tsurami can use him. Actually not a bad idea, since reidman posted once, 500 posts ago, and will never post again.
TsuramiSea's eyes opened wide, and he blinked a couple of times. "You're reidman?"

"Don't get too excited," said reidman dryly. "Why is everyone out there? Where's the rest of my staff?! Argh, this is the last time I hold a get-together....."

"Er, Chris, the moderator on the forums, told me that everyone discovered the real Eagleland and Foggyland and Chommo on the inside of the island," explained TsuramiSea.
Chris is an administrator, you little pissant.
reidman's eyes shot open. "What?!? They discovered the real EarthBound world here and didn't tell me! Now they will be punished by the tyrannical czar." He smiled eerily, and flames shot out of the ground in the basement.
Everything reidman said or did was always accompanied by a cool fire backdrop.
A voice whispered in the back of Tsurami's mind. You're in danger, stupid. RUN. "Er, well, I just got here, so I don't know the details. But since everyone's outside, you might want to consider coming out."

reidman looked thoughtful. "Yeah, not many people will find me down here." He looked at Tsurami. "Wait, who are you anyway?"

"I'm TsuramiSea."

"Oh, you," laughed reidman. "Well, a pleasure to meet you in the flesh." They shook hands. "I'll come up later. This damp basement is starting to affect my brain. Once I get vegitated enough, I'll come outside. But for now I'm staying down here."

"All right, Mr. Young," answered Tsurami.

reidman looked at TsuramiSea in a weird way. "Mr. Young? What's with the formality?"

TsuramiSea giggled nervously. "Oh, eheh, being the almight czar and all, I thought I should show some respect...."

reidman rolled his eyes. "Well, I am a co-webmaster of the biggest EarthBound site on the web, but I'm still a normal human, although a czar. Go easy on the formal talk."

"Okay. See you later, reidman!"

"Adios."

TsuramiSea climbed back up and decided to explore the outside party area and the coast some more. Continuing his search, he wondered if he'd run into anyone else.
Holy f--- that was a long post to accomplish absolutely nothing. Every time my hopes get taken high up into the clouds, the balloon pops and their guts get splattered all over the jagged rocks below. Sigh.

After a day of resting in the hotel, Juliana was starting to feel better. Her headache had passed, and she had spent most of the day on the beach, thinking about what had happened. Chris had spent a fair amount of the day thinking on his rock, too, but had also taken a bit of time to swim. Eventually, though, the two of them decided to set out for more adventure, though they decided that it would be safer to travel together.
Right. Safer. At least if you brought the--never mind. I hope you don't think my Chris gags are getting old, but, well... Chris is still writing exactly the same things he was writing back at post 50.
"So, where shall we go now? There are all sorts of interesting places." Juliana asked.
Like that line, for instance.
"Hmmm...somewhere with adventure...and somewhere we haven't visited yet...how about the Lost Underworld?" Chris replied.

"Sounds like a party!" she answered.

And so, they set off for the Lost Underworld. They might encounter dinosaurs, Tendites, and even visit the Fire Spring. They traveled through Deep Darkness, and made their way through Lumine Hall.
He's blowing through all this to evade Anthadd, who you might recall had set out for Lumine Hall. Chris does not want company on this trip.
After stopping briefly to watch their thoughts play out on the wall, they jumped down the hole to the world below...
I am almost positive it's a Bad Idea for Juliana to see your thoughts written on the wall. Or is it just me?

By the way: 30 April 2000 was this annotator's 18th birthday. It was awesome, thank you for asking.
"Hahahahahahahaha!" laughed Poo as he emerged from the wall in Jackie's Café. "Falcon and his Sound Sapper, hahahaha!" laughed Poo some more. Then, coming back to the regular Magnet Hill, Poo rebuilt it with the power of Magnet Hill. Then, seeing his deed was done, and that he was not entirely evil, Poo scaled the Monotoli Building and got into his Skyrunner II. "Next stop: Winters!"

Poo landed right outside of Dr. Andonuts's lab. "No time to visit the good doctor," Poo muttered to himself as he headed inside the Rainy Circle Sanctuary cave. The giant mushroom who he had fought earlier was back and ready to battle once again. "My name is Shrooom! It rhymes with doom! And...uh...something else that rhymes with Shrooom!"
I'm pretty sure Shrooom! already got toasted by somebody else (Nathan or somebody?) These Sanctuary guardians regenerate like damn trolls.
Oh... right. After going forward a bit I realized he's going to Rainy Circle because that's where Luna's headed.

"Whoa!" Siris exclaimed as he shielded his eyes from the enormous blue light that seemed to be emanating from Osman's scimitar. "What was that?"
Light is not matter. It cannot be 'enormous'. Back to Adjective School with you.
"Scimitar of PSI," Osman murmured. "I understand now."
"Riiight," Siris said. "Anyway, what should we do now? I'm not much of a leader; I can't call the shots..."
Well, you could at least try to fake it like pretty near everyone else in this thread.

I think the entire point of this post was to say "Riiight..." to PSIOsman's latest work.

For a moment, Chris paused, trying to think of how he could leave Winters and return to the outer island.
But just for a moment. Such an elementary problem as this isn't going to keep the likes of Chris stumped for long.
Then, he remembered how he arrived here in the first place.
Finally. This should be good!
"Okay, the way I got here was through the forest that is north of the boarding school. That forest connects back to the beach eventually. From there, we could reach Onett or our favorite little village to visit." Chris said.

"Favorite little village...?" she asked.

"Good old Deep Darkness"

"Oh yeah. I forgot about all of our little adventures there. Come on, let's go back to the hotel though. I really need to lie down after that burst of PSI."
Then lie down in the snow, who cares? Chris will guard you. Makes no sense, when you need to lie down, to instead hike dozens of miles through harsh terrain first. What's wrong with the boulder she was lying on before this whole Frost Wolf thing got started? Besides it being a damn boulder, I mean.
And so, they started making their way through Winters. However, it was getting to the middle of the night, and the temperature was well below freezing. Before long, the two of them had to stop at one of the tents between Lake Tess and Snow Wood Boarding School. They found a few blankets and a lantern, and soon fell asleep.
You know Chris was thinking it. You know he was. It's freezing cold... we're freezing cold... small tent... you know exactly what he was thinking.
When they awoke the next morning, they found the temperature much warmer, and set off north again.
Hope they don't get swept away in the mega-flood all that melting snow will no doubt cause.
Within a few hours, they had emerged through the woods and back on to the familiar beach that was the coast of Eagleland Island. They made their way to the hotel, and decided to rest a day or two, and then decide what new adventure they might undertake.
Did you get all that? They got to the 90-degree comfort of the beach by walking north in Winters. And if you suggest Eagleland Island must therefore be in the southern hemisphere, I will respond: nuh-uh. Remember Paula's instructions to Jeff when he needed to highball it out of Winters to warmer climes? That's right: "Head south." But I guess you could suppose that was just so he could get the Sky Runner and then head north. So you win... maybe.

~~with OS~~
As the fight between OS and Lavos went on, they both were exausted.
"Ahh!" screamed OS. "I'm running out of power! PSI Spirit Bomb Omega!"
A ball of energy appeared, which was thrown at Lavos.
He teleported away.
So did the Spirit Bomb.
The Spirit Bomb was shrugged off, but a chryogen antidote flew at OS's head! OS grabbed it, and then ran out of power!
# OS reverted back to Dave!
Dave was now plummeting to the ground, 100 miles above Eagleland!
(Will he survive? Find out in my next post!)
That's called a teaser, by the way. Now we're all on the edge of our seats, nervous to find out whether the AC is going to survive. Aahhh!

(That's IT. I'm sick of it.
Holy crap. Luna's about to go Falcon24 all over somebody's sorry ass!
Ton, you are not the 'strongest' guy on the island. You're just making yourself to be that so people will add you to the story. I think I speak for several people when I say you're ruining it for everyone. It gets really annoying after the first few posts. And I believe one of the rules is no omnipotence, and no one-hit KOs.)
Right now you're thinking, "Wait, who the hell is Ton?" The answer is, Ton is a poster named t0nberry22 who is about to be introduced to us. He obviously made some extreme AC God Mode posts in which he one-hit KO'd Lavos (again; poor guy) and why Luna cares, I don't know. He must also have interfered with her plotting somehow. As you can conclude for yourself, t0nberry's offending posts were subsequently deleted.

As the Skyrunner II landed on top of the Monotoli building in Fourside, Poo had an incredible idea. As Poo scaled down the side of the Monotoli building, he wondered if his idea would work.
While the rest of us wondered why the hell he thought it was important to post that. Oh well, at least he's offering an opportunity for someone to attempt to thwart him if they so choose. But did you notice how rarely anyone here chooses to do anything that might be interesting?

Upon emerging from his mind, Falcon noticed a large block of ice in the room.
"What the!? What happened to him!?"
"Pikachu was cryogenically frozen by a Wierd Being From Space," explained Poryhedron.
"Hmmm... that guy works for Lavos.... I think it's a special type of cryogen that only Lavos has the antidote for," thought Falcon. "But, I may not have the time to get it."

So, if anyone want's Pikachu really back into the IF, go get the cure.
I just puked all over my keyboard. Be back in a minute.

Ness The Skittleboy looked at sir and Chris..bored by just sitting on a rock.
Yeah, you might as well go find something else to do then, because Chris never gets bored by sitting on a rock. Although when PSI322 posts he usually suddenly remembers an urgent appointment elsewhere.
Suddenly,he had an idea.Quickly he sprang behind a tree and changed into some green army khakis and a black long-sleeved shirt and came out behind the tree.Sir and Chris looked at him funny and sir said "Uhm..what exactly are you doing?" With this..he put on a leather jacket and slung a backpack over his shoulder.Out of the backpack he pulled out a cell phone and snapped it open.He placed his finger on a round black pad and down the beach they heard something coming..and FAST.Around the corner swung a BMW Z8 in which it flung sand as it slid sideways."The name's bond..James Bond.." said Skittleboy.

Chris looked at sir and Sir looked at Chris.
"Uhm..no" they said at the same time.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

"If my theory is correct, I should be able to acquire Magnet Hill after all..." Poo said to himself. "Let's see...Jackie's Café...Jackie's Café. Ah, here we go." Poo walks into Jackie's Café and finds a bunch of people sitting around sipping Cappucinos. "Hey kid, you're not supposed to be in here," a fat lady said.
This was two hours after his last post, so yes, he did give at least a tiny opportunity for someone to interfere.
"Whatever. This sounds weird, but can I touch that wall?" asked Poo politely.
"Whatever" is not really a polite word in any context.
"Sure, kid, knock yourself out," said Jackie. Poo walked over, touched the wall, and then found himself in a place filled with darkness and bright colors. This was Moonside.
You know, Jackie should be aware by now that touching the wall behind his bar draws you into an alternate dimension. There's just no helping him if he hasn't figured out by now what a cash cow that could be.
Poo walked around looking at all the neon buildings when he encountered a surfer guy.
SaturnAl?
"Hello...and good-bye!" Next thing Poo knew, he was outside of the Dinosaur Museum.
I am actually mildly interested to see how this is supposed to be connected to Magnet Hill. And it better not be some lame kind of "since it doesn't exist in Fourside anymore, that obviously means it exists in Moonside!"

Luna, Waffle and Mog all finished off the last Sprout together, and headed out of the cave.
They got tired, understandably, of waiting for Mog116 to do something.
"Now what?" Waffy asked Luna
"I dunno. I guess we could head back for the hotel, hang out here, or go to another city or earthbound place." Luna mumbled.
Silence.
"I'm thinking another earthbound place." Mog piped up.
Sure, now that the hotel is a deserted wasteland.
"That's exactly what I was going to say." Waffy grinned.
"But where?"
"Fourside!" Luna yelled "Prices are cheap, and I'm sure they have a simply huge mall there! Let's go!"
God, now she's following Poo around. But then, Poo alone is doing the one thing no one else can figure out: Write interesting posts in which your AC does interesting stuff. And sure enough, people come around, including the girl that stole every boy's heart.
"...how can girls think about shopping when the world is at stake?" Mog mumbled
"I dunno. But maybe some shopping would take our mind off all this..."
When times are at their darkest, pal... it's a brave man that can kick back and party.
And so it was decided, and the group of 3 headed to fourside for some relaxing shopping.
There is nothing relaxing about shopping. Ever.
After some quick teleporting, they were in Fourside.

"Okaaaay..." waffle said backing away from Trillionage Sprout, "We're gonna have to each fight one. Equip yourself with anything you've got and be careful!"
Well played in the Be A Manly Man department. waffle is appointing himself field general and taking the Boss Baddie for himself, protecting Luna.
Waffle tossed a Peanut Cheese Bar to Luna. "You're gonna need to heal before you do anything."
That will actually heal less than half of her missing HP. But it's a good call, using a snack Luna has referenced several times in the Gathering instead of just casting Lifeup Super-Gamma-Omega. It shows he's been paying attention.
"Thanks!" said Luna barely catching it from Billionage Sprout's reach.
"Mog, you okay?"
"Yepperoo." he replied getting in a fighting position in front of Millionage Sprout.
Note how he's also correctly assigning Mog116 to the wimpiest of the baddies, implying Mog116 is a girly man and also implying he (waffle) understands Luna is plenty cool and badass, so she can handle the medium threat. waffle is keeping to the Impressing Girls book. It's so old because it works!
Trillionage Sprout charged toward waffle, but he flipped away and quickly searched around in his pocket.
"Now what do I have here..." He grabbed the first thing he felt, which happened to be a cotton swab and pulled it out. "Ohh..How convienant!" Waffle dashed around Trillionage Sprout a few times until it got dizzy.
A... Q-Tip. I don't even know what inside joke he's referencing. I wasn't in on it, whatever it was. But at least it's offbeat and semi-interesting! It's everything a Liyoshi battle is not. For that, I commend you, waffle.
"Haha..Fool!" Waffle shouted while gashing it with the swab, and making a burst of flames. It let out a load roar that echoed across the area and started scattering spores. "Uh oh..Not good..." waffle said while the ground below him semed to be shaking. Just then, a few little sprout popped up and crept over to waffle, just barely hitting him with futile attacks. Waffle jumped away and pelted the swab down towards the ground, engulfing the little annoyances in flames.
"Thats it..." He pulled out his lazer gun, which he had been saving for an important moment, and aimed at the sprout."You're going back to the earth!"
Really, a better plan if you have a specific number one weapon is to use it right off the bat. You know, because if you miscalculate by starting with the milder stuff, you won't be able to bring out the real weaponry after you're, you know, dead.
He started shooting rapidly at Trillionage Sprout and it seemed to be withering. He kept shooting and with a big burst of flames, it sunk into the ground.

"Pheeeew," waffle shouted looking around him. "One down...2 more to go..." He ran over to see how Luna and Mog were doing.
Wonder how long he'll give Luna and Mog to follow up before he just mops up the other Sproutlings himself?

When Osman saw the wall of water and the flash of light, he knew that Alan had found a way to use PSI to enter the mind of Falcon.

In the real world, Siris stared at the bodies of Alan, Osman, and Falcon.
"Ummm..."
I presume that will be the end of Siris's contributions to this post. PSIOsman is hoping mentioning him will provide the requisite attention and make him stay away.
In Falcon's mind, the creature roared in pain from this attack from a new direction. The monster turned on Alan, who had just recovered from his landing. Falcon staggerd to his feet. He lurched towards the monster, and fell to the ground. He said "No... its taking my mind..."

Osman was the only one unoccupied at the moment. He tried to step forward, then bit his lip as pain shot through his broken leg.
Can't walk on a broken leg, at least not without doing something to stabilize it first. Your bones are there for important structural reasons.
He stepped forward, then almost fell down...

Alan was battling the Monster viciously. He maneuvered quickly with his board and managed to get several good slashes. However, the beast got lucky, and rammed Alan with its horns. He flew several feet back.
I should have kept a running tally of how often people flew through the air when attacked in this thread. My best estimate is: a lot.
The monster turned and once again charged directly at Osman. since it was heavily wounded already by Alan, Osman was able to dogde just barely, even with his broken leg. However, this dodge left him in severe pain. Just as the creature was about to finish him off, he froze. Falcon had used the little control he had over his mind to temporarily stop the creature. PSIOsman charged his Scimitar with the energy of his PSI, like he did before, and drove it through the midsection of the beast. It roared in pain, and staggered forward. Alan, who had recovered enough, whacked the monster in the head, knocking it to the ground. As soon as it hit the ground, it turned into some type of vile black liquid, which seemed to evaporate very quickly. The black cloud that reached the ground some distance away started to lift, revealing something shining with the brilliance of the Sun. Falcon got up, apparently regaining his strength slowly...
I presume he means Lavos is now vanquished and Falcon24 is awakening in real life. I also presume Falcon24 will have other ideas.

As we move more and more toward Serious Business, the average post length is rapidly rising.
"Hey, Skittleboy! Good to see ya. By the way, great sleepover a few weeks back, that was...wa..WAIT!!!!" Sir screamed out loud, piercing the silence of the bluff

"Sir, what's wrong?" asked Chris

"I just heard, or felt something. something that brings back some real bad memories.."

"Like what?" asked TSB

"Everyone's Grudge...that was the spell..ugh, that was the command of that..thing..." Sir became a little lightheaded and leaned back on his rock. "I was playing FF7, and it was 3 hours since I had been able to use a save. And then I ran into this enemy..didn't look like much, just a little guy with a star spinning above his head. Then he started casting spells...oh, the horror!! The slow and painful killing of my characters!! Knife, Everyone's Grudge, Everyone's Grudge, Knife, Knife...the shear agony! I beat the first few, but then my phoenix downs ran out, and Cid went down! from then he took out Cloud! And then..oh..then he slowly walked back and forth...I was giving him DeathBlow after DeathBlow from Barret (Which I nicknamed "Scruff") but he wouldn't go down! Then, after minutes of walking around, he knifed me. Urrrrghhh!! my entire day off runied by some little spellcaster. And, just now, I felt those words being said again...but this time in real life."
Honestly, I'm shocked it's taken this long for someone to attempt a Final Fantasy VII crossover. I mean, there was that thing with Barret showing up and giving somebody a Phoenix Down or something, but that doesn't count.
"Wow, what's it's name?"

"Never could find out. I couldn't sense the thing if my life depended on it, which it did."

"Do you really think that could be cast in real life?"

"Well, I don't know. Remember, I only heard the words, not the spell. Ungh..Now I can't decide weather I want to go and find whoever this guy is or not.."
Okay, then. Take however long you need, Major Asshole. It's important to get yourself sorted out before you make any major commitments. Ann Landers said so!

Well, Luna easily made it in time.
Luna charged at the Billionage sprout, and blasted it with PSI fire beta. This continued until the sprout gurgled slightly and burst into flames, knocking Luna back. As with the trillionage sprout, little walking sprouts popped out of the ground and headed for her.
"Hah, like those things could ever do anything..." Luna smirked, but there seemed to be no end to the small sprorts. Soon there was around 100 of them, crowded around Luna, pinning her down and punching her in some perverse way.
Um..... yeah.
One of Luna's favorite pastimes was saying things that were on their surface pretty obviously perverted, but framing them just so, so that others would tilt their heads and say "weeeell, maaaaybe she just doesn't know what she's saying" and let it slide. She was very good at this. "tentacle monster I hope you are male", "PORN SITE YAY", and many more.
"Augh! Sprouts, all over me! PSI FIRE BETA!" Luna yelled, destroying the sprouts in waves of flames.
"That's my sprout and its little buddys!" Luna grinned, and ran over to see how Mog and Waffy were doing.
waffle and Luna are trying their damnedest to entertain us, but to put it mildly these are still anticlimactic battles. Luna's just whistling happily while she toasts whatever the other ACs put in front of her and moving on. (Which is the Right Thing in IF.)

(Pikachu, sometimes Poryhedron does a high-speed Tackle. Sometimes, he does a compu-teleport, where he disappears in a bunch of 0'sand 1's. He does Compu-teleport for short distances, like a one yard radius. He also knows PSI Teleport, but that's for long distances.)
In short, he does everything and kicks ass and I win.
Poryhedron desided to help Alan fight, but saw Falcon get up.
# Poryhedron used Blizzard on Falcon.
# 50 hp damage to Falcon!
# Falcon was frozen solid!
(In Pokémon, when someone's frozen, they can'tmove or attack. They're unfrozen when hit by a Firey attack, which Poryhedron knows none of!)
# Poryhedron uses Hyper Beam on the Guardian Monster!
# 300 hp damage to Guardian Monster!
# Poryhedron needs to recharge!
I can't think of anything that would annoy Falcon24 (or myself) worse than some hyperactive little kid going around with his stupid porygon-thing--which still nobody has called him out for using two ACs--casually trashing his plot rails.

Also, I'm trying out the hashes to replace SS/MB's incessant bullet points, which are very aggravating to reproduce here.

Well, luck was with them, and Nathan had sent the right portion of the sound stone to Tim. He got the melody, and started learning new (magic or PSI, which would be more appropriate? I'm gonna go with magic for now).
He's asking which, in a story based on EarthBound, which uses PSI but never magic, he should use, PSI or magic? I doubt the sincerity behind the question. But then, based on that I can't figure out why he asked the question. Liyoshi posts are an endless stream of "Chrono Trigger is so cool!"
Tim used Fast Feet, a magic that teleported you somewhere else in the room. RIght behind Mani Mani, Tim struck with Hydro Slash.
Then, all of a sudden, the Apple of Enlightment threw Tim some coffe. tim drank it, and started to faint, but only for a second, or at least, in Mani Mani's time. Tim had actually heard some strange messages, and this lasted for many minuted in Tim's time. (I'll show these later, when I have more melodies)
I really doubt that.

In the real world, Alan and Siris saw Osman's leg bend outward at an extreme angle.
That has interesting implications. Shouldn't they then see energy blades magically appear in Falcon24's hands? Or OK, I'll concede that only changes to your body itself manifest; shouldn't that mean that if... you know what? No. I don't even want to finish this sentence.
"That can't be good..." remarked Siris.

PSIOsman, laying on the ground like pile of rags, saw the monster attacking Falcon.
Lying on the ground like a pile of rags.
Osman gritted his teeth, and forced himself to his feet. Even though Falcon had been against him and the others every step of the way, he was determined not to let Falcon fall to Lavos.
But why, Osman? This seems on its face irrational, which means that as long as you're letting us inside your thoughts, you should explain why you suddenly want to defend Falcon. My normal policy when two guys that are both trying to kill me suddenly leave that off and try to kill each other instead is to let them.
The pain from his broken leg was intense as he tried to walk towards them. He closed his eyes and started gathering his PSI energy. He was trying to focus himself, but something unexpected happened. The Scimitar gathered the energy like a battery, glowing brighter. PSIOsman hobbled forward and swung feebly at the beast that had Falcon in its grasp. The slash fell trmendouly short, but all the PSI energy concentrated in the blade flew toward the monster in a blast of shimmering blue energy. The tremendous force of this impact caused the monster to release its grip on Falcon. Falcon dropped to the ground, trying to catch his breath. The beast turned its attention once again to the crippled PSIOsman...
Well, that wasn't awful. Fill in a few blanks and you have a reasonable post there.

After NessTSB's encounter with the ninja,he went to pond cave and searched,in which he couldnt find Tim or Juliana.
Well, at least you're searching. You're not going to find Juliana by sitting around on a goddamn rock.
He spent the night there and then teleported to the beach. There,he found Sir and Chris..on a rock.
Oh dear god.
Undetected by them,he crept up and found his own place on a similar rock.
Oh dear god.
Sir and Chris look at him funny as Skittleboy began to meditate and restore his sprit."Who are you?" said Sir.Chris replied "Some ninja from Shinjiku or something.." NessTSB came out of his meditating state and said "Whats up guys?"
It is truly an awesome monk that can go straight from meditation to "whats up guys?"

On the floor of the cave, Luna was in intense pain. from her 300 hp, she had about 20 left, or so the health meter in her backpack said.
If you're in that poor health, I might suggest checking the health meter in your backpack is not an efficient use of your dwindling time.
"Luna? How many fingers am I holding up?" Waffle asked, standing over her.
"4." Luna answered.
"Wrong-o. 2."
"Wait, now there's 6! Stand still Waffle! Your fingers are multiplying!"
"It wouldn't seem like it..." Waffle mumbled to himself, holding his hand in front of his face and blinking at it.
Deep in the cave, a rumble came... and with the rumble, came 3 huge sprouts. They formed a tight circle around Luna, Mog, and Waffle, making it obvious they ment business.
"I am Millionage Sprout!" The first one roared.
"I am Billionage Sprout!" The second one roared, equally loud.
"And I... am Trillionage Sprout!" The last one yelled, making the cave echo.
"Not good..." Mog mumbled "Not good at all..."
Just wait until you see Octillionage Sprout. Then s--- will get real.

There was no hope for Osman.
I bet you're wrong.
The huge monster was heading straight for him. Alan suddenly realized how good Osman was to him, and...

"PSI TSUNAMI!" Alan screamed

A huge wave came behind him. He grabbed his board and rode the wave that was heading straight for the creature. The wave hit him with tremendous force, and knocked the creature over. With the blades of his surfboard, Alan made an awesome turn and slashed the neck of the creature...

(I suck at conclusions. Osman, finish this.)
You're in for a surprise if you think you're anywhere near a conclusion to this Lavos matter, Junior.

Luna, waffle, and Mog stopped on a small hill right before the shining spot.
"Look," Luna started "It's obvious Poo's gaurding the shining spot and we need to lure him away. So I will do that."
"WHAT!?" Both Waffle and Mog shouted at her.
"His PSI is double yours!" Waffle said.
"He has healing PSI! He won't lose any time soon!" Mog said.
"I'm only a diversion!" Luna said angrily. "While I'm battling, you guys can go in and get the melody!" With that, she cracked the sound stone in two and gave part to waffle.
That sounds like a reasonable plan to me. If you're going to throw a diversion on pretty much anyone, Luna is the optimal person to do it. It would be hard for Poo to ignore her and attack the other ACs, because (a) he can't meaningfully inhibit their progress anyway if they don't want it inhibited, and (b) Luna is paying attention to him! This is his chance!
"Look, I'f we don't get this melody, evil is sure to win, which we don't want, RIGHT? Right. So let's go!"
As Waffle and Mog crept off to get the melody, Luna ran up to Poo.
"POO! I challange you to a duel!" Luna yelled at him.
"You actually think you can beat me? Ha! This should be good!" Poo smirked.
And so it began...

Luna and Poo started battling while Waffle and Mog stepped in the sanctuary. Waffle walked over to the Milky Well and pulled out the sound stone from his pocket. He held it up and was full of a strange feeling. An unusual feeling, but still good.
"The melody! I think we got it!" Mog cheered.
As fortune would have it, waffle was able to jump in and snatch the melody before Poo could post and do anything. Although I don't think Poo really cares about the melody; it looks like everyone's getting what they want out of this little exchange.
A small, quite tune played and the Sound Stone started glowing.
Quiet.
"We did it." Waffle said smiling.
Or: "Smiling," waffle said. Also, this is the first I realized waffle has been capitalizing his AC's name.
Mog ran back to the entrance of the sanctuary. "Okay! We got it! Now we need to help Luna out!"
"Good idea," waffle replied, slipping the Sound Stone into his pocket.
Heh. So the "diversion" actually was no diversion at all, but rather just Team Waffle doing what they want and not allowing Poo to interfere. I don't imagine that was their plan, but rather they're trying to be Luna's hero. It's too bad, because the story would be better served letting Poo post first. At least there's a chance of some tension if we allow that. Instead what we get is yet another AC God Mode Pissing Match that, let's hope, Poo will make a face and ignore.
Both of them left the sanctuary and went to help Luna in the fight against Poo.

"We need to focus on Falcon's mind," Siris siad to Alan. "Maybe then we help Osman get out of there..."
"It's, like, worth a try."
"Okay. Concentrate..."
The two closed their eyes, and when they opened them again, the were in a totally different world...
PSIOsman was standing aboout 20 yards away, battling a huge creature. Falcon could be seen rushing toward the creature with two battle blades. "Let's go help..." Siris said...
I missed the part where Osman had engaged the Lavos-thing before Falcon got to attacking it, but sure, we can work with that.

[Hello? Poryhedron! Don't just stand there! Get us somewhere! Like Sanctuary 9!]
"Oh, right. I heard it was the Giygan spaceship."
In IF, like everywhere else in life, there are leaders and there are (many more) followers. There are still more than 1,000 posts left in the Gathering, and they will retell again and again the story of a few leaders and many people following them from place to place.
With that, Poryhedron did whatever he does to get places. I think he does a really big Tackle. So he did that.
ROFL. 3164 with a humor home run! That was awesome. I love bad IF writers. They are genuinely a lot more entertaining than the kinda-good ones. (And the really good ones tend not to write a lot of IF, because they're capable of writing stories on their own and end up spending their writing time doing that.)
Upon reaching the destination, they looked around and saw Sirus and Alan getting ready to help Osman and Falcon out.
"Did I miss something?"
Obviously you didn't miss the recent plot developments, since for no explicable in-story reason you have strongarmed your way here.

The horrible monstrosity showed no sign of weakening, and the wounds inflicted on it by Osman were like mosquito bites on the behind of a rhinoceros.
Nice imagery. And even more impressive is that every word in the above (correctly structured) sentence is correctly spelled. In fact, every word in this post is correctly spelled. Osman, it turns out, is one of the best technical writers in the Gathering crew, right up near the PSI322/guruzeth/Anthadd class. (And PSI322 and guruzeth have the major advantage of being five years or so older than Osman.)
Even in Falcon's mind, Osman's power had its limits.
You lie. You're an AC! The only limits are those imposed by PSI322.
His mental energy was slowly weakening, and the beast itself was creating a void of mental energy that sapped him continuously.
That's actually a neat concept, even if most if it is left to our imagination.
The Scimitar felt heavy as lead as he dodged multiple strikes of that deadly tail.
On a square-inch-by-square-inch basis, actually, diamond is heavier than lead. So he's saying his Scimitar (note that this is a special Scimitar, hence the capitalization) got lighter.
Also, this is the first mention I can remember of a tail, but he calls it "that deadly tail" like everyone knows it's there. I guess I'm uninformed.
Suddenly, Osman misjudged a jump, and got swatted toward the ground. He heard a *crack*... and realized that his leg had broken.
That's what Lifeup and Healing are for!
The monster raised its tail for a final cut, when it stopped, apparently distracted. Both it and Osman turned to see a figure moving towards them, holding two massive battle blades...
It makes no sense, given the apparent lag time before the figure's (Falcon24's) arrival, that the creature wouldn't kill Osman and then turn to fight Falcon24. But hey, even such a contrivance beats the usual AC God Mode. This whole post is a breath of fresh air, honestly.

EBGuy punches Svbman
Svbman: OW!

EBGuy: I ened to sleep. I haven't slept in about 4 episodes.
And so they did. They went to the Onett Hotel and stayed there for the night. What will happen next?
EBGuy: I know! I'm gonna kill the narrator next!
Er.. thats not what I was thinking.

Luna blinked at the strange display that had just happened.
That was pretty much my reaction, too.
"mmm... interesting..." Then, turning her attention to poo, she blinked at him, too. "WHAT are you doing here anyways?! And why are you following me around?"
That has also been pretty much what I've been wondering. Well, not really; it's obvious, to me and to Luna, why he's following her around.
But in the one second she'd blinked at him, he was gone.
"...weird...Hey mog!" Luna shouted down the cave "If you wanna come, you can!"
Now she's reaching out to one of the depressed, attention starved kiddies. Even PSI322 would do that only very, very rarely.
"Yes! I was getting so bored!" Mog grinned "Where's Poo? I thought he was here a second ago!"
"Gone. I didn't even see him leave. Let's get to the milky well cave before it's too late"
With that, the two ran off to the sanctuary.

Poryhedron, carrying the cryogenically frozen Pikachu on his back, took Pikachu's Sound Stone and threw it to OS.
The rest of this post is in bulleted list format, but screw it; it takes more time than it's worth to convert it here. Nobody is ever going to more than very quickly skim it over anyway.
OS used PSI Power Release!
OS became OS+!
I felt a great disturbance in the Force. Like millions of voices groaned in unison, and were silenced.
OS+ rapid-fired energy balls!
600 damage to Lavos.
300 damage to Lavos.
150 damage to Lavos.
75 damage to Lavos.
OS+ used PSI Spirit Bomb Omega!
Lavos is a non-AC character!
Lavos is evil!
Lavos was defeated!
I have a feeling Falcon24 is going to take exception to that. Hopefully in classic Falcon24 fashion.
OS+ & Poryhedron returned to the hotel.
OS+ ran out of power!
OS+ turned back into David!
"What happened?" said David. "And where's Lavos?"
"You defeated him!" said Poryhedron.
"I'll take your word on it," said Dave. "Let's go back to our hotel room."
Ohhhh, this is going to be good.

Sure I did! I snuck a peek at some later posts and you were in them. Plus, I don't remember you announcing your intent to leave forever, and it's not like you're going to ignore the biggest thread in forum history.
Little did anyone know, waffle was also heading to the sanctuary. Thats where he had been for most of the time he was gone.
Well, you're sure taking your sweet time.
He was fighting a couple little shrooms when Luna walked up.
"Uhm... I was just going up there to beat up that sanctuary guy" waffle said blasting the mushrooms one last time, "What're you doing?"
"Well, the same thing," Luna replied. Waffle picked up a muffin the enemy left behind.
Muffins were, like pants, a starmen.net meme at the time.
"Saaaaay, Luna? Could I come along with you and help defeat that thingy? Like, join forces and stuff?"

She replied...

Awesome! So waffle's going to jump back in and try to lay claim to his woman. It's about time somebody showed some balls.

Falcon stood before the Giygan spaceship. "At last, I'm here....to think, ages ago this served asa means of bringing a great evil to this world.
He meant to type "served ass means", of course.
Now, it is so much rubble...Now, how to get in?" As if in answer to his question, a ramp extended from the ship and touched down neatly at his feet. "That was almost too convenient..." Falcon climbed the ramp and entered the ship.
Hopefully that's foreshadowing of something bad about to happen and not just normal IF ACs bend the Pattern of existence stuff.
"I can feel it, an immense power! And it will be MINE!" As Falcon neared the 9th sanctuary he felt a strange sensation overcome him, enveloping his whole being. "Wha-what..." He took the occassion to look at his hand. "How in the--!?" The Lavoian disguise was fading away. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

Nevertheless, Falcon continued towards the ninth sanctuary.
I cannot say why one paragraph ago he typed "9th" and now he's typing "ninth". We really could have used some type of official ruling about this.
At last, the disguise bestowed on him by Lavos had dissappeared. A wave of intense pain had encompassed him. He felt sick to his stomach. "What is this..." Suddenly a sharp pain rocketed through his skull, as if a dagger was being thrust into his brain. He grabbed his head in pain and sank to his knees.

In excruciating pain, unable to scream from lack of breath, he used his last ounce of strength to do something he would have never dreamed of doing--he let out a psychic call for help.
Ohhhh, that's deliciously dangerous. I like it. One of the better twists I've seen so far--who will come to Falcon24's aid? "One of the kiddies" is a big favorite in the early betting.

And don't worry; this was his story post, and then he will follow up immediately with his "go to hell, SS/MB" post. Like a pro, he's keeping them separate.

(There seems to be a complication here because we can only use one AC character.
Yes, the complication is that most of you would like to use six ACs each, but that's been tried and it sucks. That's why you're only allowed to use one here.

No, seriously, as predicted, Falcon24 is going to try to claim Lavos as an AC. Let's see if he's smart enough, especially since SS/MB is the offending party here, to cite his stupid Poryhedron or whatever as evidence that he should be allowed a second AC. I thought Tengu would bring it up first.
Nevertheless, I feel that if Lavos was destroyed so easily (*cough* Speedy *cough*) that would severely damage the plot.
Your plot, perhaps. But then, you should consider that this is interactive fiction, and most of the writers don't care much about your plot.

It's a hairy subject and exactly why Tengu (and, here, Falcon) was so fond of crossover characters. If anyone AC God Moded the crossover character to death, he could plead for a moderator to step in on grounds the character is plot-important, effectively sidestepping the AC limitation. It's shrewd.
And yet I find it hard to get too worked up, because what SS/MB did was exceptionally stupid and annoying. It almost kind of makes me want to take Falcon24's side even though the whole Lavos thing was itself stupid and annoying to begin with.
If we were allowed more than one AC I would take the opportunity of controlling Lavos as well, because then I would be able to control its life or death.
And by extension, control the entire story.
Unfortunately, seeing as how this is not the case, I must merely ask all of you to not do such things like "I engage Lavos by myself. 803250958752390 HP of damage to Lavos! Lavos dies and I win and I 0wn you all and we all live happily ever after."
Yeah... you have to admit Falcon24 has a solid handle on how AC God Mode works.
PLEASE, let's try to do something a bit more interesting than that(my personal suggestion is for all AC's to gather at the end to defeat it, but you can do what you will).
Thanks for your permission!
Please take my plea into consideration, because I believe(or at least hope) that by doing so this story can turn out to be very interesting indeed. Anyone else care to comment? )
Sure, I'll comment: Falcon24 continues to demonstrate, by his repeated attempts to turn it into collaborative fiction, that he doesn't really like the interactive fiction concept much. It's too bad him and Tengu never got together and took a crack at a collaboration.

As Osman and Alan were walking away from the spaceship, something made Osman stop.
Ehhh... Osman isn't really what I have in mind when I say kiddies. But I should have bet on him, since he was already at Falcon24's setting after all. Also note how SaturnAl is once again absent and we're left to wonder how long it'll be before Osman gives up and leaves his AC behind in a shelter somewhere.
"We have to go back!" He yelled.
"But why, Dude?"
"I don't know. We just do!"
Meaning, "because I just read in the last post that there's something important happening back there!" But nah; he's telepathic like everyone else, and Falcon24 did send out some telepathic spam.
They ran to the other side and saw a ramp leading into the ship. They heard muffled cries from within.

"Dude, if that was there, why did we cut into it?"
A very fair question, Alan! "Because it's more badass" would be one possible answer.
"I don't know..."

Suddenly, the cries stopped. Osman and Alan doubled their pace and ran inside. When Osman saw who was inside, He gasped, and took a step back...

It was Falcon! And he was on his knees struggling to breathe...
FINISH HIM!

(Okay, I've been ignored too much...)
Awww. We're so sorry we didn't give you the attention you deserve. :(
Siris suddenly fell to his knees. A brief psychic vision had rocked him, and only after its initial effect was Siris able to comprehend it. Someone was calling for help...
Always one to help someone in need, Siris took off at an immense speed in the direction of the call. About two-point-four-three minutes had passed before Siris reached the point of the call....
Too slow, skippy. Osman'll be all done and gone off elsewhere before half that two minutes and 23 seconds is up.

Post #660, by Ness The Skittleboy

(Hey guys..can we start reading each other's post so we know whats going on,Sir, Chris is not on the rock anymore..)
NTB has a valid point about people should read other people's posts for f---'s sake, but I'm pretty sure Major Asshole knows Chris wasn't at his rock, and just wrote him in there because he felt like it.
Meanwhile In Onett,at the Bus Stop..
Ness The Skittleboy said "Here comes the bus,Chris." Chris secretly snuck back beside skittleboy, clutching a bag full of hamburgers that he had secretly bought behind NessTSB's back.
Ah, so we officially have an AC tug of war over--of all people--Chris. Didn't see that coming. I mean, it's a lot more likely than a battle over who Mog116's with, or PP/QC or somebody, but a lot less likely than Luna or Falcon24 or etc.
"Yes..yes..the bus" said Chris. NessTSB and Chris climbed on the bus and they both paid equal amounts of the share for the ride and sat in the very back.
What a skinflint. Can't even pay the administrator's bus fare.
I wonder if Chris is trying to wait PSI322 out or what. He hasn't posted in a while.
Including them, there were several other people on the bus,but they were busy with their everyday routine. When NessTSB And Chris sat down,Chris began to eat a hamburger since he hadn't had anything to eat in awhile.NessTSB's ki sensed something strange and he reached into the bag without looking and grabbed a hamburger and began to eat it.Chris frowned at looked out the window.NessTSB looked at the other passengers, inpatient to get to winters.
Apparently they're taking a bus from Onett, which does not have bus service, to Winters, which is on a completely different continent. Awesome! I want to see that bus in action.

"Sure! We could always use more help!" She said, smiling at waffle.
"Deffintly!" Mog added
Good move speaking for Mog116 before he does something weird and tries to drive waffle off. Then again, I don't think Mog is yet aware that he's in Team Luna.

"Alan... We have to help Falcon."
"But, dude! Is that, like, wise?"
He's not waiting very long between posts; he lacks the patience to wait around as long as a day or two to see if SaturnAl is going to reappear. Two days would be something like 60 or 70 posts right now.
"I don't know. Keep your board ready just in case Falc tries some funny stuff..."
I'm straining to think of something original and funny Falcon24 ever said--at least before 2002, when I stopped paying attention--but the best I can come up with is some hilarious stuff from when he was making fun of Tengu, and then later when he was in an elaborate flame war with NeoPaula. Ahh... good times. His sense of humor was (obviously) better than, say, Tengu Man's or guruzeth's, but SimonBob he was not.
Osman concentrated on what little PSI powers he had. Before he could find out what was wrong, he was drawn into Falcon's mind!
That, uh... that's... interesting.
It seemed that whatever was attacking Falcon was draining his mental energy. When Osman tried to use his, it got drained as well...

PSIOsman opened his eyes. Alan was not with him. He clutched his Scimitar, which had strangely come with him into Falcon's mind.
Turns out the answer to "how long before Osman gives up and ditches SaturnAl?" was: one more post.
He saw...

(O my gosh, I am SO sorry for not posting in so long, forgive?)
Probably he hasn't really read the 200 posts he missed. Which is just as well, because it turns out that the total number of times anyone said "hey, what happened to Liyoshi?" was: zero.
(Also, I completley support Falcon about the short battle thing. I LOVE long, epic battles, that's why I love FF7 WEAPONS)
Long is most distinctly not synonymous with epic. Not even close. To paraphrase Gimli from DM of the Rings, nobody said we wanted to read line-by-line battle scripts until my wife divorced me and Chris flunked out of college.
Tim decided to head back to his sanctuary, Rainy Circle. It was his favorite out of all of them, and he was glad that he had its power.
Something he has in common with PSI322, incidentally. Me, like most EarthBound fans, I'm a Lumine Hall kind of guy.
Suddenly, Tim started learning some Ice PSI! Tim then decided that since this IF was all about a party, not saving the world, he decided he would return to the outer island. However, he didn't succeed. Some energy surronded and paralyzed him.He tried to yell for help, but couldn't! Then, he was flung into the air. He braced himself for the fall as the energy disappeared. But, he hadn't fallen yet. In fact, he was starting to see all of Winters! "I'm...flying?" Tim thought to himself. Once he was over Fourside, he fell to the ground, or at least, so he thought. He actually landed in the Cafe. His force was so hard, he fell into the basement.
"The chosen time has come." A being said. It was the Apple of Enlightment.
"You two must now duel." The Apple said, and with that, Tim and The Evil Mani Mani Statue prepared.

(Oh, guys, instead of please help me, please DON'T help me)
Look, kid, if you want to write fanfic, no one's going to bar your exit from this thread, and we'll hook you up with the email address of the guy that runs the Fanfics section.

Otherwise, you have no business forbidding other people in the interactive fiction forum from adding on to your post.

(Speaking of reading other people's posts, Ness TSB, I planned on sitting on my rock for quite a while. Since you wrote me as going to Onett, I'll go, but as you'll see, I'm going back on my own again.)
I checked back and I was indeed mistaken: Chris did in fact voluntarily return to Angst Rock. What follows is kind of pissy and lame; better if Chris had simply ignored NTS's intrusion and continued his regularly scheduled angsting. Either way, Major Asshole will provide his usual comic relief, I'm sure.
"Well, it seems there isn't much to do. People everywhere are taking care of Lavos, while others are returning to the outer island to resume the party. I should be heading back to get things ready. Good luck though, and if you run into any serious trouble, I might come to your rescue."

And with that, Chris set out for his rock again, and once there, pondered on what could happen at the party next.
He seems determined to sit at Angst Rock until PSI322 posts again or the Earth crashes into the Sun, whichever comes first.

Right on cue. I wonder what it is with this guy and stalking Chris?
(Skittle Boy: that's why I said I was only sitting next to Chris's rock. I didn't say he was actualy there
But he was.
(And Faclon: I understand the reason for wanting a decent battle, I learned that one the hard way after I took out Starman Supreme in one post, later reading my message box telling me to keep the battle going. Forgivenes please, Chris!!)
Ah. So there were already private messages at this point. So that opens the door to a lot more behind the scene collaboration than I first suspected.
[Noo!!Nooo!!The pain! The tourcher! Help! How did my plan stop so suddenly!! Help, anyone! Please!!!]

"Did you hear anything, Chris?" Sir asked the newly-returned from Onett ac.

"Nope. Did you?"

"Not a thing. Srawberry Daquri?" Sir had room servace bring over a few drinks (non-alcoholic, of course, heh)
Hahahaha. Dear Falcon24: Go take a long walk on a short pier, please. Major Asshole delivers the goods post after post. He's definitely MVP of this interminable drifting middle section of the Gathering.
