(OK. This is getting waaayyyy too crazy. You people are adding so many twists, my head is spinning. I'm not gonna add to the story right now, but i will later.)

P.S.-I am not dropping out of the story, just stating a comment.
Our old friend SaturnAl is way behind the curve here and is never going to catch back up. (He'll have to say f*** it and jump back in without a clue what's going on.) People were lodging this complaint before the Gathering was 150 posts old.

"Oh man, I ain't gonna be able to stop this thing..!" said guruzeth. "She's gonna hit land hard, better bear down!"
Oh well. It's just a ship, they're supposed to be disposable. Plenty more where that one came from. It would be a lot of unnecessary work trying to use it more than once.
Tracy looked around frantically for somewhere to hunker down before the collision, but guruzeth, realizing there was little time, grabbed her by the arm and dove to the ground for cover, a split-second before the ship hit the ground with a loud cracking and crunching sound, causing Tracy to hit her head off the side of the ship. "Oww!"
I dunno, guys, there is a lot of touchy-feely going on here. That's twice in a row with the whole grabbing the hand/arm thing. PSI322 is going to have to step in and tell guruzeth to cool it.
The ship, however, did not survive running aground; it had broken into a few pieces and was quickly sinking, as guru and Tracy realized has they felt the water coming up around them. "It's going down!" Tracy cried, still a little woozy. "We have to get out!"

"Relax," said guru, "it's shallow water, only a few feet deep here, but we're gonna get wet..!"
Damn, you'd think Chris was writing this.
"LOOK OUT!" Tracy screamed and dove to the ground. guruzeth looked up just in time to see the main sail mast crashing at him...

guruzeth awoke slowly in a rough-feeling bed, and the side of his head and his chest really hurt. "Oww..." He vaguely remembered the shipwreck, the last thing he remembered being the crashing mast... He felt the long scar along the side of his head, going down into his cheek toward his mouth. "Oooh, that mark isn't gonna go away..."
guruzeth instinctively grokked that chicks dig scars. Chicks don't especially dig concussions, so it's a good thing ACs are immune to them.
"guru! You're awake!" It was Tracy, who was sitting in a chair reading a book.
LOL. How thoughtful of her.
"You've been out for a long time!"

"How long.."

"It's been almost a day... it was bad. You got it right in the head, and your shoulder..." That was where the other pain was coming from, guru thought, wincing. Dislocated shoulder. He slowly rose from the bed.
Gotta call bulls*** on ol' guruzeth here. Dislocated shoulder? If he had a dislocated shoulder he would be lying on the ground screaming and weeping in agony, not wincing and shrugging it off. Those sons of bitches HURT.
"Your friend can go now," said the receptionist. "Please pay $200 for the doctor's fee first."

"$200?" said guruzeth. "Bleah." He reached into his backpack and fetched the money. "Here, take the bloody money, I gotta get outta here."
I don't know. I guess he was trying to appear badass or something? He comes across as more of a pissy teenager. Oh yeah, right... that's what he was.
He rose from the bed, rubbing his sore shoulder and wincing from his head wound, and handed over the money, and they departed from the hospital.

"Hmm," said guruzeth, flipping through his money. "That hurt my pocketbook... I have enough to buy the Piggy Nose, but not much else. Well, let's go to the bazaar for that Piggy Nose."
It is funny--and probably an intentional statement on their part--that, while everyone else is scampering around Saving the World, guruzeth and Traceh are enduring shipwreck and injury in their tireless quest for... a Piggy Nose.

Ahhhh.... Rockwell. He was a Tenguling Deluxe back in the day that went far out of his way to antagonize (and be antagonized by) guruzeth. That phase got over with quite quickly, however, and years later, after they grew up, he and guruzeth actually got to be kinda-sorta friends.
Rockwell was seen off the horizon by a sercurity camera near Reidman house.

"Intruder Alert! Arm all guns! I repeat, arm all guns!" shouted the P.A.

"Guns? That doesn't sound like a good thing." Rockwell said to himself.

"Oops, wrong P.A! *Click*"
I laughed. It's like that Far Side comic that shows an airplane as it's flying along, with panicked expressions on all the passengers' faces while the co-pilot screams "Oh my god Frank, the fuel light's on! We're all going to die! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE! ... wait, wait, my mistake... that was the intercom light."
Rockwell looks around him and there was no one around. He put his hand at his chin and then rubbed it curiously. It didn't take long for them to make the first shot which miss Rockwell's foot by 3 centremeters.
I don't have any idea what a centremeter is, so I consequently don't know how concerned for Rockwell's safety I should be.
"Intruder! Leave the property of Reidman house now!" The P.A. shouted.

"Who, me?" Rockwell said with a concerned look on his face.

"You have excalty five second before we pump you full of lead."
+1, Home Alone reference.
"Now is a good time to escape."

"5..."

Rockwell ran away in panic, but discovered that he was going the wrong way.

"4..."

He took off like crazy.
Rockwell was always pretty good at cranking up the crazy and ripping off the knob.
"3... ah, the heck with it. Fire the torpodoes!"

A Nuclear Sub came through the ground and fired some torpodoes. Rockwell ran away and then saw a border line. He kept on running. Soon, he made it to the border and stepped over it. The torpodoes stopped and then turn away and ran back. Rockwell was confused. He look around him and saw a sign.
I can only surmise that torpodoes are dangerous somehow. And apparently sentient.
"Beware of hungry vicious rabid dogs that are on your side of the line." Rockwell read.

"Then that would mea-"

Rockwell was cutted off by a growling sound. He turned around and came face to face with a pitbull that was foaming at the mouth. An anime-style sweatdrop form at his head and then he ran away like crazy. The pitbull dog chased him. Soon, 64 dogs were chasing him.

"I knew I should have bought that meat on stick!" Rockwell screamed.
Ah, but my dear man, you are meat on a stick.
Then a lightbulb formed over Rockwell's head and he stepped over the border.

"Nah nah nah. I'm smarter than you." Rockwell taunted the dog.
This certainly should be true, but based on the spelling and grammar in this post I can't state it for fact.
*pants**pants**pants*

Suddenly, one of them crossed the line and Rockwell panicked and resumed running.
You do that.

"Ninth melody...ninth melody..." Poo thought aloud. "I'll need help to find the final melody. Help from someone who knows about unearthly things. Hmmm..." Poo blasted a single star into the air and yelled "Starmaster! Come here!" In a large blaze of light, Starmaster appeared.

"What is it, your Princeness?" Starmaster asked politely.

"Tell me about the ninth melody," Poo commanded.

"Well, unlike the other sanctuaries: Giant Step, Lilliput Steps, Milky Well, Rainy Circle, Magnet Hill, Pink Cloud, Lumine Hall, and Fire Springs, the ninth sanctuary is more complex. It isn't just there. You have to look for it," explained Starmaster.
Once again I feel compelled to note that if there was any such thing as a "ninth melody" I'm pretty sure the Star Master would have mentioned it to somebody by now.
Also, I know these Asian gurus aren't supposed to say anything that makes sense, but: didn't we find the other eight Sanctuaries by looking for them? It's not like somebody mailed them to us.
"Look for it...doesn't seem hard..." Poo replied.

"No, but what makes it harder is that the ninth sanctuary is different for everyone. It could be one place for one and another place for another," said Starmaster.
Maybe these guys borrowed this "Ninth Melody" and "Everyone gets a piece of Magicant" nonsense from anime plots. That would explain a lot.
"Well, where's mine?" asked Poo impatiently.

"Your answer lies at where you got your first melody," Starmaster said as he disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"My first melody...Fire Springs!" exclaimed Poo knowingly.
Which, I yet AGAIN feel compelled to repeat because I am kind of an asshole about these points of accuracy (you noticed that, right?), Fire Spring (there is no S at the end) is in no way the Gateway to Magicant. You get to Magicant via whichever was the eighth Sanctuary tune you nabbed.
Hours later, Poo was once again at Fire Springs.
Fire SPRING, jackass.
Then suddenly, everything went blurry as he was transported to Magicant. As he was there, he was greeted by locals. "Welcome back, Foolio!" greeted a penguin.
There was once a time when saying "foolio" made you cool. No, really.
"Shut up!" Poo snapped as he kicked the penguin into a wall. All of a sudden, a voice began talking to Poo. "Nevermind the ninth sanctuary. Luna's here. Find her. NOW! We have to stop her," the voice said.

"Stop her??? From doing what?
waffle, most likely.
I'm sorry, was this supposed to be a family-friendly annotation? I forgot.
And who are you? Or rather, what are you?" Poo was very confused.

"Oh come on, you know who I am. I'm your evil side," explained the voice.

"Evil side, eh? Well then, where's my good side?" asked Poo.

"Good side? What good side???" the voice said.
At least Poo's savvy enough to make the joke (or perhaps the Ha Ha Only Serious) before I got there.
"Oh...well, I guess I'll get going now," said Poo.

Hours later, Poo located Luna. Poo ran out to talk to her. "So, we meet again, Luna." Poo greeted. "Sorry for all my attempts to kill you."
I feel like Poo really should know better than to follow Luna around like a lost puppy. He thinks doing mean things to her will help her notice him, but it's not enough to overcome the very unattractive lost puppy thing. waffle should not feel threatened.
"Well, I guess it's all right if you're sorry." replied Luna. "But I have a question...why are you ALWAYS following me around?"

"Well, er...I don't know. But I have to be on my way now," said Poo as he walked away mumbling something about finding Falcon and taking over the world.
Poo is actually making his mistake worse by making it obvious, in so many words, that he's into Luna. (He actually did this for several years via various avenues at the site. Say this for him, he was not shy about it. Chris, he ain't.)

As Anthadd travelled along the Shore of Eden, he had to swerve inland to avoid the attacking Krakens, and hitting them with his golf clubs (I bought a whole set, and am lugging the entire case with me) whenever their backs were turned.
I'm surprised Anthadd fell into the Inexplicably Varying Person (he->I) trap.
He'd occasionally find a small seran-wrapped bowl of Kraken soup, which he also stowed in his backpack.
Up ahead, lay a small, golden statue. Behind, far in the distance, a rather large circular rock was descending, and rock buildings were exploding into flames.
"I can't go back now," he stated. "I have to face the evil inside me now."
Perhaps the reason guruzeth never bothered with the Magicant crap was because he openly embraced the evil inside him.

meahnwhile, in kiyo's magicant...
"I am the evil part of your brain, ah you know the rest."
"Woah! I hear that alot! Well take this!"
Kiyo Smaasshhed the sound stone over the head of his nightmare, then asorbed the tenth melody.
loid is continuing to endear himself to me with his happy brevity.
"Yess! Now all I need are liliput steps and the giygan spaceship!"
"Kiyo? Is that you?"
"Ton?"
Kiyo looked across the sea of Eden, he saw other peoples magicants, including Ton's.
Most of the people I know, I would not want for one second to have access to their minds or souls.

Poryhedron saw Pikachu at the Sea of Eden.
"Yes!" said Poryhedron, looking at the computer showing Pikachu defeating Dark Pikachu.
Then, Poryhedron heard a familar crow. It was Shock Bird!
[Well, if it isn't my digibuddy, Poryhedron!] said Shock Bird.
"Hi!" he said. "Are you like my Flying Man?"
We're at how many ACs of the same writer in the same scene right now?
SB(Shock Bird) crowed and said [Yes. I'll guide you to the Sea of Eden, but I may not get in with you. There, you'll find the hacker's disk to Pikachu's Magicant. You must bring the com-portal to his Magicant to there, and not break it on the way.]
A fetch quest! All right! These always have awesome rewards at the end.
"Let's go!" said Poryhedron. But in a flash of light, Shock Bird was gone, and Poryhedron saw Pikachu!
"Pikachu!" cried Poryhedron.
[Poryhedron!] cried Pikachu.
They each ran at each other, but two mysterious forces stopped them.
"Allow us to introduce our-r-r-selfs," said the Porygon. He then boxed Pikachu in a cyber cage, so he'd be powerless to help Poryhedron.
"Prepare for Trouble!" said the black Machamp.
Oh, you just had to go and make this racial, didn't you? Damn Southerners.
"Make it d-d-double!" said the glichy Porygon.
"To infect Pokémon minds with devistation!"
"To blight all memor-r-ries of Magicant!"
"To make you hate truth and love!"
"To cause your deletion to-to-to the Recycle Bin above!"
I must assume these pokemon tripling their words like the goose from Charlotte's Web is something he borrowed from the cartoon. I assure you that I wouldn't have a clue.
"Dark Machamp!"
"Poryhedron.VBS!"
"Rocket Nightmares! In your mind all day & night!"
"Surrender now, or you'll feel our b-b-blight!"
Together they then said "That's right!"
[Let me go!] said Pikachu. He then felt the blast of Poryhedron.VBS's Blizzard!
"When a nightmare moves fron one mind to another," said Dark Machamp, "Both people feel incredable pain."
(To be continued…)
Oh, I'm sure it is, kiddo. No doubt in my mind.

Pikachu was just plain mad that these two nightmares had stopped him from helping Poryhedron. [Hah! You thought a simple box could stop me! You make me laugh! Teleport Omega!] Pikachu Teleported right out of the box. [PSI Starstorm O...]
I'd be pretty pissed if somebody hijacked my AC like that too.
But,Pikachu was cut off by that voice he was hearing ever since he ate that Magic Cake last night. Stop.... Hurt another person's nightmare and they shall become corrupted...

Pikachu was now as mad as ever. [Would you shut up already! I do not want to listen to you!]
I think that's the audience talking to you, actually.
"Who is that rat talking to? Oh well. Little rat, would you get away from our fight already?!" Dark Machamp ran up to Pikachu and gave him Seismic Toss right into the Sea of Eden.

He didn't come back up...
I can't be certain because the structure of this post is pretty trippy, but I think he's flipping out Mog-style over SS/MB hijacking his AC.

Kiyo saw Ton, but Ton was hurt. Then everything went black.

"S...Sat..Saturn Valley..."
Kiyo finnaly used the sound stone to reilize the power of PSI.
Finally. Realize.
"Must go to... Saturn valley..."
He risks running afoul of Tengu if he does that. Despite that, I'm surprised he's the first kiddie to hit on the idea. Already been done, I suppose.
(Psycadelic teleport sequence)
Kiyo tried to teleport to Saturn Valley but instead teleported to the Lavos crater
"What? Then this means, the Lavos crater is where Saturn Valley used to be. Must defeat Lavos, must save Mr. Saturns, must buy more peanut cheese bars."
OK, I have to hand it to loid. That was awesome. I cannot predict how Tengu is going to react to this one.

After the Runaway Dog battle, TsuramiSea had encountered a Spiteful Crow. He felt a little guilty to bash such a cool enemy, but knew he needed experience. However, the Crow dodged most of the mallet swings. Its pecks missed Tsurami many times, as well. When it did peck him, it was on the nose, cheek, or forehead, fortunately. TsuramiSea, after managing to get in a few hits, got more experience, and a cookie. He ate it to restore HP. Suddenly....
TsuramiSea's level is now 3!
Defense went up by 1!
Guts went up by 1!
ALL RIGHT! Speed went up by 4!
Vitality went up by 2!
IQ went up by 1!
COOL! HP went up by 15! (I think that's how much for one vitality point?)
Depends what level you're hitting. It varies. Also, the game says "Oh, baby!" for base stat ups of 3 or more, "Sweet" if HP increases by 15 or more, and "That rocks!" if PP increases by 10 or more. I don't know if Tsurami is intentionally mixing it up or just doesn't know his EarthBound.
"I reached a new level!" cheered TsuramiSea. "It's level three, but the fact that I even gained one level is awing (sp?)!"
Awing? I don't even know what he's trying to say. "Awesome" would be the standard here. Maybe he was going for the unnecessarily wordy "awe-inspiring".
Tsurami wondered when in his life it was he had risen to level 2. "Mmmm... must of been when I was fighting with Craig or someone."
Knowing what I know of Tsurami when he was a kid, I very much doubt he ever got in a serious fight with anyone, ever. Being bullied is not fighting, and the bug is not "fighting" the windshield.
He decided that this small raise in level was reason enough to move on to Twoson, where he decided he'd buy some good food and check out Burglin Park. He set off for the town immediately.

(Hehe.... with any luck... I'll blunder into something here....)
Wouldn't bet on it. The party train pulled out of Twoson like 500 posts ago.

Chris finally woke up after a peaceful, undisturbed sleep. "I must've slept for about three days..." He told no one in particular.
In case you forgot, this is the other Chris. The one that likes hamburgers, not the one that likes PSI322.
He reached in his backpack for a Hamburger, but couldn't find one. He then remembered, Poo stole half his stuff. Grumbling to himself, he left the inside of Dungeon Man and teleported back to where he started, Onett.

********

"I've got to get this melody," Chris told himself as he ran to Giant Step, to claim the melody he missed.
I was really kind of expecting his first stop would be the Burger Shop.
Running past everything that had already been cleared away, he reached the Magic Butterfly spot. He didn't bother healing himself, figuring Titanic Ant wasn't there. However, something Chris didn't know about WAS there...
I'm impressed StarmanDx knows enough EarthBound to know there is a Magic Butterfly Spot near Giant Step.

(Mog left now, right? I'm a bit confused.)
He's in an existential crisis. He doesn't exist as long as you for $DEITY's sake don't think about him.
"Now, the final hour is at hand we must go and defeat Lavos. With the power of the melodies... the melodies..."

"Dude, what's wron--"

Both Alan and Osman heard it at the same time. Due to their adventures in Magicant, they had somehow acquired the tenth melody without even noticing it. The melody played inside their heads.
Again, I approve of any and all skipping ahead of Magicant crap. It honestly wasn't so bad the first 150 posts or so of it, but it's gotten just a tad stale now.
"What's wrong?" Asked Siris, concernedly.
It's bad enough to tack adverbs onto every "said". You don't need to exacerbate the problem by making up new adverbs. "Concerned" will do if you absolutely insist that the reader is too stupid to figure out Siris is concerned based on he just said "What's wrong".
"Nothing... The tenth melody..." mumbled Osman. Suddenly, the Scimitar flared up yet again. The completed song emitted from it. The three friends were stunned by its beauty.
It sounds just like "Magic Carpet Ride".
As soon as the melody stopped, reality around them shifted. The world became a blur, changing and shifting. When everything became normal, they looked up. The sky was blood-red and the scorched earth led up to something huge and foreboding... it was Lavos.
Don't forget that he doesn't have an eye anymore. He's probably somewhat agitated by this, too.
(I don't know what state Lavos is in. Is he damaged? Healthy? What?)
...damn it, kid.

I tell you, these kids are all lazy assholes.

Pikachu eventually defeated Dark Pikachu using prayer power, combined with the power of Starstorm and other PSI abilities.

Pikachu gave a pose of triumph. [Okay. Now lead me to the Sanctuary.]
I know I'm on thin ice complaining about someone skipping over the details of Yet Another AC Smackdown, but: what the hell was the point to his last couple posts?
Dark Pikachu gave a pose of defeat. [Fine. Follow me.]
I bet it looked just like Robert E. Lee a few moments after he realized the catastrophe he'd caused at Gettysburg.
Pikachu followed Dark Pikachu to the island where Ness's Nigtmare had stood. [This is the 10th Sanctuary location. Ness never acquired it because he didn't know of it.]
Also because he didn't need or want the stupid goddammned thing.
Pikachu became aware of the familiar Sound Stone melody... He had acquired the power of Sea of Eden!
It's the Cold War all over again. It's not so much that the Power of the Sea of Eden is useful in any way. It's just you don't want to be without it when everyone else has it.
[I may be evil, but I accept defeat. Whenever you want to leave Magicant, come back here.] Dark Pikachu stated.
If he's evil, why doesn't 3164, y'know, kill him?
[Hmm... All Magicant's are linked at the Sea of Eden, right?]

[Yes....]

[Cool! I'm gonna find Poryhedron!]
Take your time. Really.

The wind whiped at the sails, and Tracy turned to guruzeth.

"Where is the captain!? she yelled against the wind. "I dont see him out there!" The boat swayed as if it were to crumble at every wave.
Who cares? Free boat!
And now PSI322 can't even give us a scolding, because with no witnesses she can't prove we stole it.
"Look! There he is!" guru shouted, pointing towards the left side of the small ship.

They ran to the post and looked over the edge of the boat, only to see the bearded man drift beyond the lenght of rope they had.
WIIIILLLLSOOOOOOOOOONNNNNN! I'm sorry, Wilson!
...dang, that movie wasn't even out when this was written. I'm old.
Tracy's jaw dropped as she saw him swept out to sea, waving and fighting to get back. guruzeth turned away from the water and took out the now soaked map.
Very guruzeth-like. Who gives a damn about some schmuck NPC drowning to death in pure terror?
Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at him, still in shock. "Well, now that we are captainless, do YOU know how to navigate and 'sail the seas'? Cause I sure dont," she said, irritation and loss coloring her voice.
Captainless? How can you be captainless with guruzeth around?
guruzeth smiled slyly. "Stand back, and be amazed!" he retorted. "There is no problem I cant find an answer to. Dont worry." Tracy let out a breath of irritaton/ammusment and sat down on the wet deck of the boat, finding a tarp to sheild from the storm.
I can't decide if Traceh's expressing admiration for guruzeth or making fun of him. It's one or the other. Let's hope it's the latter.
The next thing she remembered was guruzeth's bellow from the front of the boat. "Laaaand hoooo!" he shouted with his best pirate accent. Tracy stood and walked to the front of the boat, just in time to sight the strip of green on the horizon, closing in on them.
I hope he's got a cunning plan for stopping the boat, which typically requires the concerted efforts of a half-dozen people or more.

"PSI Life-up Gamma!" Anthadd's HP were maxed out.
Anthadd woke up, not knowing how, and rolled behind the CFB, just as the Bomb exploded. The CFB took the full force of the blow, and exploded.
Apparently this particular Care Free Bomb throws Boomerang Bombs? Or something?
He continued along. When he reached the twisting horn, something put its hand on his shoulder. He whirled around, ready for battle.
A few Mr. Molecules had clustered up to try and frighten him, but a few simple whacks from the golf club he'd bought recently at the Magicant shop atomised them.
Anthadd is smart.
Pressing his hands on the horn, he was teleported to the Shore of Eden (can't swim).
OK, maybe not that smart. This annotator himself didn't finally learn to swim until he was 12, and still can't swim well enough to stay alive for five minutes if his boat capsized ten minutes' swim from shore, but you won't see me admitting it.

(Thanks, Mog!)
My sentiments exactly!
Since the battle had re-begun, Tim had been fighting for almost two hours. Evil Mani Mani had used few healing spells, yet Tim was sipping the super drink(400HP and PP) every fifth turn.
It's not so much that he's AC God Modeing incessantly that bewilders me. It's the fact he ceaselessly has to point out specifically HOW he's doing it. Does he honestly think anyone cares?
"Thunder Omega!" Evil Mani Mani called out.
3 strikes hit Tim.
That is an extraordinarily lucky Thunder Omega, seeing as how each strike has only a 25% chance of connecting. Also since he has the Shield of Invincibility up, as always.
"PSI Ultima Epsilon!" Tim shouted in return. Ultima was his strongest spell, Tim found out.
"Starstorm Omega!" Evil Mani Mani shouted.
"How may PP does this guy have?" Tim moaned.

Then, it struck him.

"Ohhh...no." Tim said sadly. He was homesick. He got homesick quite easily, but he had managed to hold out until now. Tim burst into tears, and felt fear.
In Soviet America, fear feels YOU.
"PSI Special Omega! Again! AGAIN!" Evil Mani Mani roared.
It had been five turns from his last drink, but Tim didn't sip it.
"PSI Deathblow!" Evil Mani Mani yelled. Tim hadn't heard this before. A black slash came over him, and he fell to the ground, apparently dead.
You can tell I'm bored because I'm poorly citing internet memes from like eight years ago. Bored, bored, bored.
Tim landed in the middle of a pool in Magicant, but didn't know where he was.
"Where...?"
Damn. His primal urge to do what the cool kids are doing finally caught up with him and ended the Mani Mani stupidity.... for now.

The Lumine wall which circumnavigated Anthadd's Magicant was flowing rapidly with unreadable thoughts.
Because he's thinking in Klingon?
Anthadd himself was journeying to the end of the twisting path of his Magicant, avoiding many battles as he went.
Why does everyone's Magicant have to have a twisting path? I always thought this was stupid so I didn't participate in it, but now I kind of wish I had just so my Magicant can feature a straight road, paved with brand new blacktop and ten feet long.
But at times, the battles were too hard to evade, and he had to fight. With each battle he fought, he was further weakened, and eventually had to crawl.
One last enemy neared. No, not THAT!
A Care Free Bomb, juggling a Super Bomb.
Anthadd's eyes flickered, and he knew he was defeated.

In the sky, the rock-sun wobbled more, almost out of orbit and about to crash into Magicant.

The writing-wall had one last flash before it crumbled away: I now can heal myself with PSI.
You think I'm going to make fun of him, but instead I'll be charitable and commend him because, realizing no one is paying the slightest attention to him, Anthadd has successfully resisted the urge to whine and bitch and instead done something himself about it. Even if it's unoriginal, that still counts for something.

YES!! I actually fistpumped just now when I saw Chris's name re-appear.
PSI322 last posted content at #720, after which Chris posted three times, waited a day, posted one more time, and then stopped posting. It's been four days since then and PSI322 still has not posted (though she DID post in her Admin capacity shortly after Chris's #774, but has avoided posting content, presumably because of Chris) and now Chris just going to go on ahead and yank her AC along some more. I couldn't be happier!
After several days of recuperating, Juliana and Chris set out again.
Right. "Recuperating."
The palm trees gently tilted in the breeze, and the sound of water rushing down the river was relaxing. The two managed to avoid any further fights until they reached Tenda Village.
Well, how hard can that be? They're not even married yet.
Thinking that it would be fun to explore Tenda Village, they entered and soon had arranged for a room.
You know that phrase "get a room"? That's exactly what Chris was thinking. I know it seems like I'm picking low-hanging fruit here, but... I really, truly am. The jokes write themselves, because they're barely even jokes.
"Hmmm...you seem weak. Go to the store, and see what we have. You may take whatever you need." the boss Tenda said.

"Thanks." Chris and Juliana replied.

The two of them walked over to the weapons store, and soon, Chris had an Ultimate Bat, and Juliana had a Holy Fry Pan. Now that they had weapons, they could set out again through the Lost Underworld...
So nothing actually happened here. I mean, not that anything happens in even the best of Chris posts, but he's just prodding to see if PSI322 is ever going to write again. And probably pestering her on AIM about it, too. If she hasn't stopped signing on AIM.

"If everything goes the way it's going, we'll probably have to fight our evil side. And I dunno about you, but I'm not quite ready yet. Besides, we havn't explored half of this place!" Luna said to Waffle.
Translation: This paint-by-number fight evil side, get melody stuff is stupid. Let's write something fun instead.
"Yeah, we should look around first... this place is HUGE!" Waffle answered.
"Probably because this is a combination of two minds instead of just one." Luna mumbled. "So let's get going!"
You've got to hand it to Luna, she is not tempted to do something stupid and boring just because everyone else is.

All right! That's two entertaining writers I have long missed reappearing only two posts apart!
"We have to run for it!" said Ton.
"No, we have 6 mellodies right?
Melodies.
we need all 10 to beat this... thing."
the form of Lavos's attack was inexplicable...
It is inexplicable that loid correctly spelled "inexplicable."
"What the? AHHHHHHHHHH....!"
Kiyo, Ton and the Lavos Spawn fell through the ground and landed in Fire springs deep beneth the earth.
Beneath. And honestly, I had forgotten all about the Lavos Spawn silliness.
"This is your sanctuary, but its mine now, oh you know the rest"

(Rather than write another boring battle sequence thats excessivly long, I'll just say Kiyo and Ton, with the help of the baby Lavos, indiscriminatly laid the smack down on Carbon Dog.)
Excessively; indiscriminately. But those are long words anyone might get wrong. Also: Awesome points to loid for not only avoiding the masturbatory excessively detailed fight sequence, but making fun of it while he was at it. Well played, loid, well played.
Kiyo and Ton's sound stones recorded the melody of Fire Springs.
"All right! thats 7 melodies now I.......*"

"what the hey? woah Im in magicant!"
Kiyo's magicant was well, very different from Ness's. There were Earthbound Characters, CT characters, proffesional wrestlers and trees that grew candy.
I don't know how trees that grow candy haven't been mentioned yet.
"Hmmm, I have a weapon and experiance, but If I want to survive this place I need a flying man."
Kiyo walked in the flying man house, got a flying man that looked like Mick Folley and went into the sea of Eden.
LOL. He meant Mick Foley, who I think was/is a WWE guy.
Meahnwhile in Ton's Magicant...
Meanwhile.

All of a sudden, Mog felt enlightened. The power of good hearts (Tim, Siris and Pikachu's) healed him.
What kind of lame power is Heart, anyway?
[Who's Magicant is it?] ]Yours[ [Then why'd you say It wasn't mine?] ]Because[ Mog stepped forward, but the figure disappeared.
No, I didn't screw the brackets up, that's the way he wrote it.
Mog looked around. His magicant was a town. Every yard had huge fruits in them. Mog walked down a street, turned left, and entered the first house he saw there. Noone was home, but he could hear someone.
This Noone guy is quite the shadowy figure in the Gathering. I just know he's going to turn out to be an important arch-villain. Probably one of those Randites Tengu keeps going on about.
Mog ran into the back yard. He saw Himself trying to get into a moving van. A big Black one.

[[KKKZZKKKZZZKKK]]

Mog ran after ablack van. One of his best friends, Skye, (Ok, it was late, I was tired, and I couldn't think of a name.) was just kidnapped.
Because, as you know, Mog has never actually had a friend.

Mog didn't stand a chance. He ran as fast as he could, but couldn't keep up. He saw a car drive by him. He had gotten an idea. He heard a car coming. When the car passed his right side, he jumped. KAKOOSH! He landed right on the car. As this car sped up, the other reached a red light. It slowed, but drove past. Then a siren was heard, and a police car passed the car Mog was on. Mog jumped from car2 to the police car, and when the police car came up, Mog jumped to the van. Thye van drove by his house, and he punched the window. He pulled himself into the van.

[KKKZZZKKKZZZKKK]]

Mog flinched. It was the second flash back he had seen in Magicant. Mog thought about it, then just went on. He walked back to the Sea of Eden.

[Heheh...] [Not YOU again!?] Mog's chadow walked out of the water. [I hate this. Well, MUSIC!] Mog's mind began playing his fav CT music. (It's the Frog's. I name him Glenn, though)
I know you didn't read that, so I'll give you the Cliff Notes:

1. A whole bunch of random mind altering drug-induced nonsense, followed by
2. Setting up to do the whole "Dark Mog" battle you didn't care about the first time over again. Dread Liyoshi Disease is spreading.

"Falcon!!" Darth growled, "Alright, NOW YOU GONNA DIE, LAVOS!!"
u mad
Darth began to mercliessly slash and hack at the eye of Lavos.
It's unclear why Tengu thinks any of us expect he might be merciful to Lavos. I don't recall Lavos asking for mercy, or even remotely resembling something that might be desirous of mercy.
Lavos took serious damage, but managed to block a hit, and send Darth flying into a tree, knocking him senseless.
Lavos takes a lot of serious damage, but none of it ever seems too, I dunno... serious.
I still can't comprehend what these guys find so exciting about paragraph after paragraph after paragraph of fighting some video game's Big Bad.
Ness began to glow green again, and then emitted a glow similar to the X-Buster and hovered over Lavos, the ground below Lavos turned green, and then energy rose from it, right into Ness's hands.

"Powers of the Earth, what's left, guide me to my destiny!!" and with those words, Ness divebombed Lavos' head/eye and the result was a city-sized explosion of green energy that blinded everyone.
The usual effect of a city-sized explosion upon a human body is to vaporize it. But these are ACs, so even the blindness is going to be extremely temporary.
When it clear, the eye of Lavos was gone... but Ness lay unconscious. Paula screamed and rushed to him.
We might not want to bet the farm on that being very temporary, though. Removing Ness from the equation was Standard Operating Procedure for Tengu Man, who was virulently jealous of a video game character.
Darth came to his senses and saw the missing eye, and asked, "What happened?"

"Ness drew on some other power of Earth and, literally blew the head away... I've never seen anything like it, but now he's in a coma... and it may be a permenant one..." Paula sniffed.
There is no such thing as a permanent coma. Before too long the victim invariably either wakes up or dies.
"It's a good idea we go home for now. We're gonna need Ness's power if we're to handle anything ahead inside that thing." Jeff suggested.

"You're right... we'd better go back to Twoson for now..." Darth said, and his group teleported back to Twoson.

[Well, now you can go after Lavos, people, just save some for us[preferably the core] when we return ]
It's always cute the way Tengu appoints himself Thread Captain in every thread he posts in.

All Magicants are linked at the Sea of Eden... There, you will find your Nightmare... When the Nightmare is defeated, you will earn the 10th melody... When the 10 Melodies are formed together, the power will be so strong, you shall have the chance to destroy the Ultimate Evil ...
I'm not sure where he plans to take the "all Magicants are linked at the Sea of Eden" thing. I certainly don't recall Ness having to pick his way through hundreds of ACs en route to Ness's Nightmare.
Pikachu woke up. He had fallen asleep in the Thunder Inn, the hotel in his Magicant.
[Huh?! That was some dream... I need to quit eating Magic Cake before going to bed..]

Meowth was already up. "Wake up Pikachu! We're going to the Sea of Eden! I'm sure some of your old friends will meet you there!"
Yet Another Unauthorized AC.
**********
[Scary.... This is the path that leads to the Sea of Eden?]

"Yup! Right! That's why I'm outta here! Buh bye! Good luck!"

[Don't leave!] But it was too late. Meowth had already left, back to the good side of Magicant. [Great. anyone here!]

Pikachu heard nothing, so he walked on. He kept walking until he reached the Sea of Eden.

There, he thought he heard some fighting. [Who's there?] After squinting, he thought he could make out the shape of Mog, fighting.... Mog.
Again.
But that wasn't what Pikachu would be worrying about.
Yeah, none of us are worrying about it either.
A dark, evil shadow was approaching Pikachu. [I'm afraid I can't let you go any further, Pikachu.]

Pikachu was so terrified, he almost died. [Who are you!?] Pikachu turned around and saw... him. Except, the other was... different... Pikachu could feel the negative energy emanating from the shadow.
Has this kid ever had an original thought in his life?
[Don't even recognize yourself. Sad.] the other Pikachu said.

[Your not me! I'm me!]
There's some deep philosophical riddling to be had in that line. Especially if you take "Your" at face value and not as a common spelling error.
[True, I suppose. I am Dark Pikachu, your evil side. My goal is to make you, well, evil.]
I'd like it better if it insisted to be your good side. Why does no evil side ever think of that?
Pikachu was even more terrified then ever. Dark Pikachu seemed incredibly powerful to him. Then a terrible thought came to him. [Would that make you my Nightmare?]

[I guess that would.] Now Pikachu was just ashamed. If his nightmare was as strong as he thought he was, that would make a large portion of Pikachu... evil.
If this was really part of you, kid, it would be the annoying, not evil.
Then, Pikachu became aware of the voice like thingy he heard while he was sleeping.
Your nightmare represent your evils... Defeat it, and you will be pured of evilness... Let it defeat you, and you will become an Embodiment of Evil

[Great. Now I know I need to quit eating Magic Cake. Who the heck keeps talking to me?]

[No one is talking to you.]

[Great. Now I look stupid, just because I ate some Magic Cake. You want a fight, don't you?]

[Duh. Let's fight.]

Pikachu decided to reason with Dark Pikachu. [You win, I let evil myself over. I win, you lead me to the Sanctuary point. Agreed?]

[Agreed. PSI Starstorm! Omega!]

Pikachu was plastered by stars before he even got a chance to start. [Ouch. Okay. Remember, good always wins! Good always wins! PSI Shield!]
...because Evil is dumb.

Yay. I get to fight lavos. Whoopie. (Notice the periods)
Kid's got no further particular interest in posting on the Gathering. Now he's just bitter and bitching. I find it hard to believe much of anyone would have minded had guruzeth banned him for failing to post any useful content, ever.
Mog killed the last of Mog's evil forms, did some stuff, then woke up.
On the other hand, this is my favorite Magicant Post yet.
He walked all the way to Lavos (About five miles) just in time to be blown back to the meeting place by Ness' explosion. Mog had gotten used to pain, so he ignored it.
What is a soul, if not a bowl of pain? A bowl of pain. A bowl of pain.
Mog walked back to Where Lavos was, looked at i, then walked away. He walked away FOREVER! I AM NOT COMING BACK UNTIL THIS IS A NORMAL VACATION IF! Unless something cool comes up.
And by "something cool" he means "people paying attention to me".
(Tom, keep the stuff. give it back to me later)

Waffle looked around. Magicant sure was a strange place, but it was pretty cool, in his opinion. But, he still found it odd that two people were able to go in the same Magicant. It was the Magicant for both his and Luna's mind.
The implications of that notion are awesome, if you're waffle.
"Pudding!" Waffle said looking at the floating snacks.
"..Ahhh! ...J,Jellyfish!" Luna shrieked hiding behind waffle.
"Heh, its only our mind, those things can't hurt us."
I'm pretty sure there's a difference between Magicant and your standard dream.
"Hmmm..." Luna said popping out.

They walked around farther, seeing lots of people they had known, and lots of other familiar things.
"Sure is interesting..."
And by "interesting" he very much means "uninteresting", because he cannot for the life of him think of anything even remotely interesting or descriptive to write.
Soon, they came to a part that looked like the winding path to the Sea of Eden, just like in Ness' mind.
"Hmmm..." Waffle looked at Luna, "Shall we go there or hang around and see what else is here?"
No particular purpose for this post besides to try to prevent Luna from forgetting about him.

Nathan had found the missing sound stone piece, and teleported back to the present. He then sent all of his sound stones to Tim, and began to pray for him.

Tim's prayer was anserwed by N-tha-.
Na--an felt Tim's danger and prayed for his safety.
It's been so long since Liyoshi's last post (much less Dr. Andonuts') that I had to go back and find it to remember what the hell is going on there. Turns out it's pretty much the same thing Liyoshi's been up to since about post 400.

"A map, eh?" said the barrel-chested old captain. "I got an old one in me pocket here, but it'll cost ya!"

"Cost us? Cost us what?" Tracy said.
Ohhhh. One spork is not enough! He's going to demand... another spork!
"Well, we don't really NEED one," said guruzeth. "I'm sure we could find it on our own if we had to."

Tracy's eyes widened and she started to say "Yes we do," but only got out "Y..." before guruzeth tugged her hand and gave her a "shhh, I'm fooling him" kind of facial expression, and she stopped.
Awww, they're holding hands!
Pretty sure PSI322's urge to kill was rising whenever she read that.
For real, though, even if it was inadvertent (and it was; trust me, I was there) it still qualifies as the closest brush with the Romance Rule since that hilariously awkward Chris/PSI322 dance thing. And even then Chris just skipped right over it because he was too excited to write. Which I think actually makes this the very first example of male/female physical contact (other than random Lunapunches and setting aside PP/QC) in the Gathering.
"Yeah, we probably could..." she said instead. "Just forget it."

"Aye, ye'll get lost on these seas!"

"I've sailed 'em before," said guruzeth. "I can probably find it, but I WOULD like a map... look." He opened his pack and pulled from it a brightly colored ruby. "I'll trade you this gem for your map, straight up."

"What be this..? said the Captain, looking at the gem.

"Take it or leave it," said guruzeth. The captain took it, and handed over a map in fairly good condition. The Captain went to the other end of the rickety ship to get it started.
I guess that's guruzeth's idea of sweet-talking. I can only hope he didn't strain his shoulder patting himself on the back.
"guru, how much was that gem worth?!" Tracy stage-whispered.

guruzeth smiled. "25 cents, maybe. It's a fake, but he doesn't know that. He wanted to hustle us, but we hustled him, mweehehe."
It's not often you come across someone so smug you want to punch him in the face just reading a random forum post. Twelve years later.
Not too long after that, they were sailing the high seas to Scaraba, where they planned to make for the Pyramid.
Did you ever notice how nobody ever sails the low seas?
But when they were within a half hour of landfall, a storm began to kick up the high seas, and the rickety old boad sounded like it was on its last legs.
This would never have happened if they'd taken my advice and stayed on the low seas. Also: Boad. Way to loid it up, guruzeth. Or maybe he was just trying to make Traceh feel better.
"Aye, she be in trouble now," said the captain.

"What if it goes?" said Tracy.

"We'd have to swim for it..."
Seriously? That's not your only option. You also could totally choose to not swim, and just drown.
Suddenly, they whirled at the sound of a crack and then a splash. "Hey, where'd the Captain go?!" guruzeth shouted against the driving storm.

"I think he's overboard!" cried Tracy.
Which is the Captain going to choose? Swim, or drown? Tune in next week!

As Poo walked through Lumine Hall, words began appearing on the wall. The wall read: "After this melody, I'm going for the last one: Pink Cloud. But Falcon destroyed it with the Sound Sapper...Now I'll never get it! Now I'll never take over the world! NEVER! Waitaminute...my plans are being written on the walls. Hmm...I have to think of nice stuff. I like flowers. I like sunshine. You are my sunshine...Mwehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe! Huh? Oops...my only sunshine..."
Being that he is alone in Lumine Hall as far as I know, it's odd that he's concerned about his plans being written on the wall. Maybe he thinks there's a keylogger on there.
With that, Poo ran out of the cave, to where he put the Skyrunner II. "Skyrunner, Dalaam," Poo commanded.
You would think that since he purports to live in Dalaam, he would long since have collected Pink Cloud.
Awhile later, Poo arrived in Dalaam as a group of girls gathered around him again. "Girls, I TOLD you, autograph signing later!" Poo yelled impatiently.
IF as wish fulfillment. I'd point out that even waffy has an actual girl following him around, but the truth is Poo's been doing the Right Thing (writing interesting stuff on his own) and I don't want to discourage him.
With that, he ran towards the Pink Cloud cave. Once he got there, he took out his Brain Stone. Using his concentrated intelligence and ki, Poo was able to charge up Pink Cloud for one brief moment.
That would probably be chi, not ki, actually. I think.
In this one brief moment, Poo was able to claim the power with his Sound Stone replica. "All right! I have them all! Wait, but what about the fabled ninth melody...?"
Dunno. Why don't you just sit there on your ass and collect that one too? That plan seems solid.

(Okay, I've negleted to realize my mistake.
I'm yet to read the rest of the post, but $1000 says that by the time it finally ends he will still be neglecting to realize his mistake.
I have been throwing everyone who wants to help me out of the Evil Mani Mani battle.
It's their own fault for being idiots enough to go anywhere near your AC. Don't feel bad. You're doing them a great favor.
But, what I had really wanted was a personal duel. At the time[still on part one], I thought that I would never reach Magicant, so I figured I'd battle one of the non-sanctuary people for a good fight.
We are now on Part Three. Each thread is about 400 posts long. I was not kidding when I said he's been doing the same thing for more than 400 posts.
Turns out I decided Evil Mani Mani was my target. If you guys want a pesonal duel, that's what they invented Magiant for.
Don't know what he's rambling about. You're not allowed to have 'personal duels' at all on IF.
However, about the Lavos thing. I have no control over this, and please don't flame me about this, just kindly point out your opinions. I considered Lavos as being our biggest, toughest boss yet, and that we'll ever face. I truly understand that Tengu/Maul would enjoy having a personal duel with Lavos, perhaps aided by a friend or two. I think that, however, Mog should be allowed to join, since I believe it is understood Lavos is our ultimate evil. However, I have no authority, so ask a moderator/forum administartor.
I read this as essentially an attempt to summon PSI322 and/or guruzeth to give Tengu his comeuppance. Tengu is really starting to piss off the kiddie klub.
If you badly want to be the one[s] to battle Evil Mani Mani, I'll stop the duel and continue it in Magicant. This is all I have to state in parenthesis, so onto the post!)
Actually, can we go back to pointless parenthetical comments? I thought what I just finished reading was the best material you've ever posted in this thread.
Tim realized the power of PSI Yoshi Beta!
*sigh*
"FOOL!" Evil Mani Mani shouted. He was obssesed with the word, Tim thought.
"Alright, let's see how this works!PSI Ultima Epsilon!" Tim shouted.
"FOOL! I have a sanctuary shield!" Evil Mani Mani said, lowering his guard until the attack evaded the shield, and hit Mani Mani hard."OOOOF!!"
See? Liyoshi has not the slightest awareness of his mistakes. Blah blah shield blah blah fool blah blah PSI Everything Dies blah blah SHIELD SHIELD SHIELD SHIELD. HOW EXCITING.
"Alright! Mimic!" Evil Mani Mani shouted, but he got no result.
"WHAT?!"
"Heh he!" Tim said, then suddenly, felt the urge to pray for Mog in return for the favor.
*Mog, I saved you once, remember the jellyfish? Well, you saved me in return with the diamondize pendant. I still owe you the favor, though. Please, get well soon!*

"FOOL!" Evil Mani Mani shouted, and atacked with Special Omega, followed up instantly with Special Beta. Tim quickly sipped the drink Mog had sent him which recovered 400HP and PP.
"PSI Yoshi Beta!" Tim called out, attacking Evil Mani Mani with the powerful attack.
I'm now rooting for him to keep carrying this on right through the entirety of Thread 3.

(I perfectly understand that. But like I said, only for the time being is it private. I plan these things out in advance, I always have a trump card Just be patient, it won't be "private" for long...in fact, at the end of this post you can most likely consider it public)
That was both longer and calmer of a "f*** you" for Liyoshi than I expected to see Falcon24 give.
Falcon knew the moment was right. "It's now or never!" He took off light lightning, racing towards Lavos.
Maybe "Light Lightning" was some kind of armor or pendant that was weak to one of Lavos's attacks.

...Well, that's my best shot at it, anyway.
The Gutsy Bat in his hand was charged with volatile PSI energy. At last, reaching his destination, he rammed the bat deep into Lavos' eye. Lavos roared in pain...but it was not defeated.
Maybe you just tickled him and he's giggling. Do you know for sure the difference between a Lavos Roar and a Lavos Giggle?
"What!? Impossible! Maybe...maybe we did need the melodies..." Falcon attempted to pull out the bat so he could regroup and think of a plan.
Just like how guruzeth was proud of his brute force, Falcon24 was proud of his planning. (Which is ironic since no one has ever been better than Falcon24 at sudden and haphazard application of brute force, while few have ever been better than guruzeth at planning and scheming.)
However, it was in quite far, and even with all his strength and concentration he could not pull it out.
Chance Falcon24 knew exactly what he was writing and thought it was funny: 99.5%. I'm declaring it ineligible for Double Entendre of the Gathering because it's so blatant.
His concentration was suddenly broken by a loud, unearthly scream. Lavos was striking back.

A beam of green energy rocketed forth from Lavos' eye/head.
"Eye" would do, really.
The energy encompassed Falcon, and a wave of pain washed over him. He desperately tried to free the bat, but it was still jammed too tightly. He tried to let go of the bat, but the pain was so intense that he did not even have the strength to release his grip. All he could see was radiant green light, and it blinded him. He let out a pain-filled scream.

A flash of light. And then Falcon's body slowly faded away...
He must have had this passage out of his attempt at novelizing Chrono Trigger already written out, and figured, why let it go to waste? So he substituted "Falcon" for "Crono" and put it on the internet for all to see.

Siris, Alan, and Osman were sitting on a bench in Fourside, pondering their next move. All of a sudden a figure fell from the sky. It was Mog! He landed next to the bench and was pretty bruised up.
I don't know, I guess the insecure needy kids have to take care of each other.
Siris immediately dropped to the ground over Mog and uttered an incantation of healing. Immediately, white swirls of energy were emitted from Siris's hands and into Mog's body, healing him. Mog rose to his feet.
You know, just once I want to see someone take a shot at creating an RPG-type video game that doesn't include supernatural healing. I don't even know how conceptually you can pull that off, but I am disappointed no one better at game design than myself has ever given it a try.
"What are you doing here?" Osman asked.
"Lavos... and... uh..." Mog tried to reply, but was still pretty weak.
"Oh well," Siris said. "You can come with us if you want, I guess."
(You don't mind, do you, Osman or Alan?)
As usual, I don't expect SaturnAl will reappear until the rest of his team gives up and forgets about him.

Oh $DEITY, it's the Emo Kid Bat Signal. Dammit, Mog.
Pikachu all of a sudden had a grave feeling. Even though he was in a forest in Magicant, he knew someone was in grave danger... Mog!
If only we'd thought to shove somebody's neck under a guillotine so that person would have been in even greater danger than Mog and therefore 3164 would have noticed him instead, we could have averted this.
Even though he was saved by Siris, he didn't know if people really cared for him. So, he decided to let Mog know that people did care.
Pikachu prayed with all his heart!
The Gathering is turning into a Lifetime Special now.
All of a sudden, Mog got the feeling that people cared about him.

And Mog was happy.
This would be a brilliantly hilarious post if you forgot 3164 was writing it and pretended it was all sarcasm.

(Yeah thanks. Oh. My head is killing me. I just fell down some stairs. Pikachu,Siris healed me. Even though, I'm pulling Mog outta this for a while.)
Is this where I say thanks, or is it more polite to send a card?
Mog got up. (I'm am so sick of saying Mog all the time.)
This is apparently an effort at transferring his AC making friends, however tenuously, in the Gathering to actually making real life (if only internet) friends. It kind of hurts to read. This kid was lonely.
He looked at Siris, Osman, and Alan. Then he almost fainted. Even though Siris healed him, he could barely hear out of his left ear, couldn't think straight, and had big bruises all over. About 12 of his teeth were missing, and his tongue was bleeding. [oof. Where's the hopsalit?]
If you ever wondered just what the hell goes on inside the head of a kid that cuts himself for attention... now you know.
"What's a 'hopsalit'" [A hopsalit. I's where eople go to et eeled] "Dude! I think he means Like, hospital."
It's loid's best effort at spelling 'hospital', I'm pretty sure.
After They got Mog to the hospital, Mog fell unconcious.

[[Mog's Dream]]

[What?] [Where amI] ]You are in Magicant[ [I thought I couldn't go there again.] ]It's Not yours. It is...]

(Noone fill in the blank. I need to know if I can switch ACs. Y'know, pull out Mog, and put in Someone else. I might not want to though)
I think he's just bitter at Tengu Man and lashing out at Tengu Man's AC-controlling tendencies.

[my ac is basically my real life me, i have no idea what has been going on and i'm lost in the if..oi!]
That's an adequate description of everyone in this story. Well, except Tengu Man, whose AC is a dream-projection device and who knows exactly what's going on in the IF. At least the part of it he cares about.
dazed, and horribly baffled, pogopunk awoke to the sound of the crashing waves, the surf tickling his feet. he sat up, feeling disoriented, and having no recollection of anything that happened before.
Well, this is a first: Someone trying to provide an in-character justification for not reading any of the last two hundred posts. It appears pogopunk made a conscious "f*** it" decision and is now going to reboot the whole thing.

By the way, after a brief lull where it got down to 20 posts a day or so, the Gathering is back to roaring along at a post every 10-15 minutes for hours on end. As you've surely noticed if you've been paying attention to the datestamps I put in the post titles.
the one thing he did know, was that he was hungry, and he lumbered over to get some food. snacking on some braised boa over minced baby leeks, he gazed out at the beach front, staring at the horizon.
That was a tremendous EarthBound reference. He even got the phrase exactly right, straight down to the spelling.
he suddenly had the sudden need to visit a place called "lumine hall" where he somehow knew that everything would come together there.
And he got Lumine Hall right too! Give that man a cigar!

Tracy looked up from the mezmorizing sand. "Hey! Boats!" she exclaimed as she sprinted towards the docks.

"Wait! Hold on just one second there. How do you expect to pay?" guru asked with a look of doubt.
Pay? Why in the world would an AC pay for anything? Infinite money--talk about a boring way to manifest AC God Mode. But brief and to the point. You have to give it that.
She dug into her backback searching for the answer to the situation at hand. "No problemo, I got it covered...I think." Tracy fond it and her eyes lit up. She yanked it out. "THIS, that I have here in my hand, is a spork. Not just any spork, but a monument to inefficiency! The prongs are too long to be a good spoon, yet too short to be a good fork!(heheh)Im sure we can trade this puppy for a boat trip."
Sporks were an inside joke between Traceh and guruzeth. She wrote that knowing no one but guruzeth would get it. Of course I know that because I was there and I remember it.
Makes me wonder how many of the bizarre things I make fun of now were actually inside jokes that I was never in on.
"Wow," guru shrugged,"that really is a wonder. Letts try it out."
I feel like if they don't figure out a way to make Traceh's spork the Artifact of Doom around which the whole story ends up revolving, they have failed.
Sandles scuffing on the wood of the dock, they made their way towards the short, bearded man overseeing the boats who proceded to ramble on about his wife.
Traceh's sandles. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing the things.
After a bit of sweet-talking by guruzeth (needed after a fatal attempt at 'brute force' on the old man) they were able to get a spot on a small rickity ship.
This sentence is hilarious on so many levels. Here, I have a few minutes so I'll list a few of them. See how many more you can spot!
1. guruzeth was always very fond of brute force as the solution to all problems. ("If brute force doesn't solve your problem," he said often, "you're not using enough." And as you know if you were ever around the forums or #earthbound back then, he meant it. But the notion he would fail at brute force and then succeed at sweet talking is pretty LOL.
2. If guruzeth's attempt at brute force was fatal, as Traceh asserts, that means either guruzeth or the old man in question is dead. And guruzeth is an AC; Q.E.D., the old man guruzeth is sweet-talking is now a corpse. Which leaves them free to help themselves to the boat, so brute force wins again! Of course they know how to sail a boat that usually requires a crew of eight with just the two of them. They're ACs.
3. Traceh is the first writer to go out of her way to put her AC on a "small rickety ship", rather than a battleship or luxury cruise liner, when given a chance.
They climbed aboard. Tracy noticed the bearded man had a strange look in his eye but thought nothing of it. "This isnt a flippin` horror movie so calm down!" she thought to herself.
Yeah, that's never going to come up again.
"I really hope this little boat is stable enough to get us there," said guru.
Which naturally means it is not. Shipwreck in 3..2..1...
Tracy pulled out a small bottle of purified water and gulped it down without hesitation. "Excuse me, where can we find a map, sir?" she asked the captain.

(Guys, this Lavos battle should really be personal. I mean, not just anyone can come up and say "5273650 HP damage, it's dead."
This is a true and correct point. Not so much by official rule as because it's obviously stupid and other writers will overrule it. IF mostly governs itself.
Plus, I don't think it's appreciated if you state that other people's AC's are doing minimal or no damage, when it is their fight in the first place.
Also somewhat true. It's an OK thing to do if your AC is in the same plotline as the AC in question, but doing anything with ACs not in your plotline is bad form.
Please, just let this one alone. Maybe later it'll be an "open fight", ok?)
But this part is most certainly not true or correct. All fights are open; otherwise it wouldn't be Interactive Fiction. It's just a question of how to enter the fight. Falcon24 and Tengu Man do not have the privilege of deciding who's worthy to join their plotlines.

There's an interesting bit of IF-as-culture under the surface here that I might write more about later if I can organize my thoughts on it. That is, alliances and enmities get formed and shaped via the IF writing itself and certain individuals (in the Gathering, PSI322, Luna, Falcon24 and Tengu now, soon to be joined by guruzeth) are set up as the implicitly acknowledged alpha dogs that more or less call the shots.

"Mmm, Scaraba," guruzeth mused. "It's been a long time since I've been there. But very well, if we can find a boat and a map we should be able to make it there without much trouble." He rose and brushed the sand off himself.
What? You have never been to Scaraba. The whole point to this thing is everyone being shocked to discover the EarthBound world exists on earth, and exploring it. guruzeth is playing the Tengu Man card of pretending to be the expert, when there is no plausible support for such a claim.
"But where can we find a boat?" asked Tracy. "Or a map?"

"Haha, this is Eagleland!" said guruzeth. "Someone's always looking to make a buck around here, so I'm sure there's a boat dealership nearby, and they'll sell maps too."
In a world where a single banana costs $5, I would imagine a map would run about $250 and a boat something like $75 million. Also, I'm pretty sure this is technically not Eagleland, which is confined to the Onett-through-Fourside area. Though I guess it is technically the Eagleland Island PSI322 originally came up with.
"Should we just walk along the beach until we find something then?" asked Tracy.
When in doubt, walk along the beach until you find something. Or die of thirst. Can't drink salt water.
"Have you eaten yet?" asked guruzeth. "Now's your chance if you haven't, I don't know how long of a walk it might be."
Apparently he hasn't been paying close attention to Traceh's posts. She has mentioned the stellar buffet several times now.
"Yeah, I ate not too long ago," said Tracy. "Should we go down that way?" She pointed into the distance.

guruzeth pulled his compass.
Of course guruzeth always carries a compass. What kind of Supreme Dictator For Life would he be otherwise?
"northeast..? Might as well. I'm sure we'll find something."

So off they went across the beach. They walked for more than an hour, as the city faded behind them, before Tracy looked up. "Hey! Boats!"
This is called "cutting to the chase." If Chris or PSI322 were writing this it would be another ten or twelve posts yet before any boats made an appearance.

((Mog, I need to know where you get the tenth melody. If Pikachu gets 10 melodies on his Sound Stone... that would be... cool, I guess. Plus, it would be helpful in defeating Lavos.))
You don't expect him to actually read posts he's not involved in, do you? Don't be unreasonable here. Of course it is completely reasonable for him to assume Mog116 is reading all the posts.
[Cool! A forest! This must be my own Magicant!] All of a sudden, someone approached Pikachu. [Who's there!?]

"Hello, Pikachu. It's me, Meowth! I'm here to guide you to the Sea of Eden. You could call me your own Flying Man!"
I believe that would be a Flying Cat, really. Which is pretty awesome. But then again, "Flying Man" is anthropomorphic anyway, as even the Flying Men in EarthBound clearly are actually Flying Birds. Which is boring.
[Meowth?!]

"Kind of. I'm the Meowth that was created by what you know about me. I'm not the real Meowth, just a figment of your imagination.
There is more than one "real Meowth". "Real" is not a synonym for "official".
You'll notice the restraint I showed in not making the obvious "Won't the real Meowth please stand up?" joke.
And, unfortuneatly, I can only stay with you until you reach the Sea of Eden, seeing as I'm only in your imagination"

[Right.... I wonder how Poryhedron, Waffle, and Luna are doing.]
Yet another toe in the water to see if anyone acknowledges his existence.

(You never said I couldn't help, or at least I don't think so.
Right off the bat Mog116 makes a tactical blunder. Tengu Man and Falcon24 don't have the authority to disallow Mog116 or anyone else from joining in, which is the point he should have made in his defense. Or actually the best response is the succinct one: "Bite me." But as we will see, Mog116 is not really arguing a case here, he's just bitching. He has nowhere near spine enough to stand up to Tengu and Falcon24.
Pikachu, you get it after fighting your nightmare. Oh, and by the way, I'm gonna kill myself off now. Well, maybe.
Is that supposed to be a threat? "Don't move a muscle or we'll shoot... ourselves!"
Oh, Falcon By medium I meant 300-400 Damage by Minimum, I meant 100-200 damage)

Pikupo, who was blown into the air and is now hanging just within the gravitational pull, suddenly reverted back to Mog. Then he fell to his doom. Will he live? Where will he land? Do you even CARE? Well, if you don't, I'm dead.
Thank $DEITY for that. Couldn't have happened soon enough, don't you agree?

Anthadd wandered around, revelling in his Magicant. Shop sellers from both Maria and Ness' incarnations of Magicant were clustered around inside the rock houses, peddling various goods at prices he couldn't afford.
It's pretty sad when you forget to bring a pile of money into your own imagination.
As for the Maria reference, Anthadd is invoking Mother 1 there.
Other people from EarthBound , that is, their Magicantian counterparts, were panicking.
"What is it?" Anthadd asked.
"The sky is falling!" one cried.
Anthadd looked up. Indeed, the rock-sun was wobbling, and the temperature was quickly rising.
"Help me! Someone! How do I save the people of this Magicant?"
I guess you didn't remember to bring the ruby slippers, either. Damn.

Poryhedron landed in his Magicant, and all it appaered to be was several "computers" as houses and portals, with 0's and 1's as the land.
He saw Pikachu and his Magicant in one computer, and waffle & Luna in theirs in another.
This doesn't compute! thousht Poryhedron. No one can share a Magicant!
It's odd that that is what you've honed into as the nonsensical thing about all this various-Magicants business.
A big "I" was shown in a computer, as an info stand. Poryhedron walked through a screen.
"Amazing," said Poryhedron.
"You wanna get to Pikachu's Magicant, huh?" said the weird man.
"You need a password!" said the Team Rocket member next to him. "Same with the enterance to the other Magicant portals!"
The Rocket threw Poryhedron out.
Interesting that Poryhedron didn't just kick his ass.
"How rude!" said Poryhedron. "I figure the the surf in my cyber-Sea of Eden will show me the codes. Maybe I need a hacking program."

Anthadd woke up. But where he was, wasn't where he was. (Someone PLEASE say you can get this.)
Anthadd, I know I'm over 11 years late now and all, but: Yes, I get this. I hope you feel better now.
"My own little Magicant? Yet I've not collected a single melody. I left before we obtained Rainy Circle."
Anthadd's willing to point out the absurdity, but he won't refrain from participating in it. That would be boring. And uncool. But mostly the boring.
Lumine Hall-style writing ran across a similar wall. "Is this a dream?" the writing said. (No, this is NOT another AC -- it's my thoughts).
LOL. I guess he was aware that a lot of people haven't actually played EarthBound and might not know what he was referring to.
Anthadd looked up. Instead of the sun, a rock was in its place. The clouds were rocks...well, everything was rocks.
"This is Magicant...my Magicant...my dream world."
There are now seven billion people in the world, and Anthadd is probably the only one whose dream world consists of... rocks.
Upbeat music began to play, and Anthadd started singing to it. The sun-rock began to wobble.

(Thank you much for that link, Falcon)

Out of breath from being out of shape for 6 days (eating at the buffet and playing nintendo all day does that ya know), Tracy plopped down on the sand next to guruzeth.
What are you talking about? Playing Nintendo all day keeps you in great shape!
"Im not quite sure what to do. Everyon else is gone on their 'adventures'.
A+ use of the quotation marks to express your disdain.
Aparently this is island is just one big Eagleland. I was thinking about trying to find a way to Scaraba. They have those awesome pyramids there and mabye I can get one of those pig noses, those are kinda cute. Of course I wanna also meet up with some other EBers, isnt that the point of this get-together in the first place?"
Well then, my dear Traceh, you will have to make a choice. For if you wish to join up with any EBers besides guruzeth, you are going to have to do battle to save the world. guruzeth is the only poster not presently involved in that very thing. Well, I guess other than PSI322 and Chris. But trust me, it's better to leave them alone.
Tracy picked up a palm-full of sand and let it sift through her fingers, thinking.
Traceh is doing something you may not have seen at all through the previous 832 posts: writing atmosphere. Even for all the misspellings, she had a better knack for writing than most.
"How does that sound, guru? Do you have any ideas? At this point I would rather just be anywhere but this hotel," she said, rather flatly.

She rose to her feet and hauled her jansport up with her, wondering about that ammusement park and if it was finished yet.
Ahhh, Jansports. I don't know if this has changed now, but when I was in middle and high school there were only two kinds of people in the world:
(a) Those who owned Jansport© brand backpacks.
(b) Losers.
I, of course, was always in category (b). The same went for clothes and shoes, of course; you were expected to wear the big (read: expensive) name brands or else you were a loser. I hated having to wear off-brand shoes and was convinced they were why my school day was eight hours of being laughed at and bullied. (After gaining enlightenment years later, I realized that the real reason for that was, I was a sissy.)
But the Jansports? Please. I fought my mother for years to get the expensive shoes, but I agreed with her about the damned Jansports. $60 for a backpack indeed. Even at age 12 I was smart enough to realize a stupid backpack should never cost more than $15. Even when I got a job in my late high school years and finally bought myself Nike© shoes, I still refused to piss ten hours of my life away on the cool kids' backpack. F*** that s***.

(The tenth melody was for people who wanted to do it. Ya don't have to.
Wow, thanks for clarifying. And here I thought everyone writing on the Gathering did have to get the tenth melody, Or Else. I feel better now.
Mog ended up in Fourside.
Why? Why did he end up in Fourside?
Then he heard several crashes coming from the Monotoli building. He looked up, but saw nothing. Then Mog just suddenly disappered and landed in the Cafe Basement. [Uh-Oh! How do I leave?] Mog suddenly disappeared again. This time he was on the Monotoli Building. There was someone else up there, too. When Mog got near he/she/it Mog teleported away again.
I am utterly disoriented, not understanding in the slightest how or why he is teleporting around.
Now he was in the park of Fourside, so he ran out ontu the street, and ran into Himself(?). [Huh?] Mog suddenly disappeared, and landed on the Cafe. He could hear the crashes and bashes from within, so he jumped down. In Mid-Jump, he disappeared, and landed in a room with Nothing in it.
But how much Nothing? Just a little Nothing, or was the room packed full of it?
This kid was so high as a kite when he wrote this.
Or so he thought. Mog reached down, and grabbed the Pika Pendet! (sp?) Mog equipped it, and changed back to Pikupo! (A much weaker one)
Pikupo disappeared and landed on the Monotoli building again. [Dang it. I need to fight Lavos!] Pikupo suddenly relized! He must have found the power of Teleport Omega, only couldn't control it. Pikupo thought hard, and suddenly ended up at Lavos!
.....all of that--all of that goddamn nonsense--just so he can plant his AC where he wants his AC to be. My heart hurts.
-Darth struck w/ his light saber-
-3000 damage-

Pikupo decided to help defeat Lavos, and used Blazing Kupo Punch! Mog did zero damage, and was then knocked back by Lavos shooting his eye.
Wow. Apparently Lavos can use guns now. And he's a damn good shot too, shooting him right in the eye like that.
Darth jumped forward, trying to go through the hole while his eye was missing, but missed. Mog flew at Lavos again, with another Blazing Kupunch.

At the Cafe...

-324 damage to Evil Mani mani-

"But I didn't even attack! I healed!" Tim said.
Man, I'd love to know exactly what this kid smoked before he wrote this.

Lavos then ruptured and blasted Pikupo with a beam, sending him into the air.

"You dare interupt my fight?!" Lavos growled with rage, "I want to kill these mortals first, then I'll handle you."
Hahahahaha! I love Tengu. I always did love Tengu... I just couldn't admit it to myself before. Tengu brings the goods every time. You did not try to f*** up Tengu's carefully laid plot rails. Or this happened to you--he'd just seize control of whatever villain you're attacking as though it's Tengu's AC and make you go away.
He threw Pikupo about a mile away, and when he tried to return, he found Lavos had surround the area with a force barrier. Lavos appeareantly wanted no one else to get in on the fight. He wanted to kill Falcon, and teach Darth a lesson, and he wanted no interference.
This is so ridiculously not allowed in IF, and Tengu doesn't even give a s***. You'd like to think Tengu is surmising, correctly, that (a) neither guruzeth nor PSI322 is reading any of this, and also (b) even if they did, they wouldn't likely rush to a schmuck like Mog116's defense. But no, Tengu is not thinking about any of that. He just doesn't give a s***. You do not f*** with Tengu's plot rails, end of story.
Tengu of course is powerless to enforce his cease-and-desist order to Mog116 if Mog116 chooses to force the issue. But he knows Mog116 will be too intimidated to do that.
Darth then recovered and spun in on the eye/head of Lavos, but Lavos shrugged off the damage and shot beams at him.

Jeff lit a multi bottle rocket and blasted into the eye, doing around the same damage as Darth's slashes.

Paula then used PSI Freeze Omega at the same time Ness used PSI Rockin Omega, and sent the attack into Lavos. The effect was minimal, and Lavos gazed at Falcon...

[As I said, please let my group and Falcon(if he wants to) handle Lavos until we give the word, since Tim's allowed to take Evil Mani Mani on one-on-one.]
You are not Lord and Master of this thread, and you have no power whatsoever to tell people what they are and are not allowed to write.
You have to understand, Tengu Man had been doing exactly this stuff in every IF thread he ever posted in, in virtually every post. This had been going on day after day for nearly a year by this time. guruzeth had threatened to ban him from the forum a dozen times at least by now. Tengu Man just didn't give a f***.

(Everyone, in case you think there are posts that you missed on part 2 before it dissappeared, look for it at http://www.starmen.net/ubb/Forum5/HTML/000254-8.html . Then just post here.)
Sorry, but that link is, of course, long since dead. This very site is the only known source of the complete Gathering on the internet. Though you might find the .zip archive if you ask around in the right places...

(Thanks, Osman. I kind of was unable to read due the disappearance. So, we have nine melodies now and we go fight Lavos.)
I guess what Osman said must have made sense to Gauntlet.
"Do you think we'll have enough power to defeat Lavos by ourselves?"
I think you, the IF writer, do not have nearly enough power to decide the answer to that question by yourself.
Siris asked as the gang began to teleport back to Fourside. "I mean, we don't even know where it is, do we?"...
You'll notice the total lack of anything happening in this post, not even some irrelevant thing. He just asks a question that comes across as kind of dumb, since this is IF and you always know where the Evil Presence is. Gauntlet just wants to encourage his team to move forward and not forget him. He's likely refusing to go out on his own out of fear of (a) being left behind by the guys he's been writing with, and/or (b) incurring the wrath of Falcon24 and/or Tengu Man.

Pikachu and Poryhedron came running into the Fire Springs Sanctuary. [Okay. Now let's absorb Fire Springs!]
3164 doesn't give a damn what PSI322 thinks about Poryhedron. She can come and pry Poryhedron from his cold, dead fingers.
The familiar short segment of the Sound Stone began to echo through the cave. Pikachu had recorded the melody of Fire Springs!
Very short. The Fire Spring (not Springs) "melody" is one note.
Poryhedron was looking around. "Hey! Isn't that Luna and Waffle up there?

[I think it is them! Let's go!] Pikachu exclaimed as he started running up toward Luna and waffle. [Hey! What's u.... What is that?!]

Luna jumped and turned around. "Huh! Oh! Pikachu! Umm... we think it's the entrance to Magicant!"
I guess it's plausible, if we accept on its face the premise that any random schmuck that happens along can enter his own mind at Fire Spring (absurd for reasons we've repeated before, but let's run with it), that maybe some people's Magicant would be activated by a portal. I guess.
But what happens if 3164 races into waffle's portal? Hmm.
[Cool! I always wanted to go there!]

**********
Question! Okay. Everyone knows where the first 8 Sanctuaries are. Most of the people here know that Sanctuary 9 is the Giygan Spaceship. But, now, there is the 10th Sanctuary. I need to know where it is, seeing as Pikachu is collecting melodies.
I wouldn't worry too much about that, kid. No sooner would you collect the 10th than Tengu would announce there's an 11th. Most everyone else has figured out how this works by now.
You'll also notice that almost everyone in the Gathering cast has no grasp on how the Sanctuaries and melodies work. The tunes of the eight Sanctuaries come together to form what we might unofficially call "Ness's Song", which triggers his Magicant sequence that opens up enormous power to him. (The tune forms the basic melody of EarthBound's musical magnum opus and Ness's kinda-sorta theme song, "Smiles And Tears", which is the last song that plays in the ending.)
That means there can't be just a 9th or 10th Sanctuary; if there were more, (a) they can't have anything to do with Ness (this part is fine with Tengu Man, of course; it's possible he already knows all this and is setting up a set of melodies for Paula) and (b) there would have to be at least, I don't know, five or six more of them.

"But I heard that everyone's Magicant is different, yet is connected, at some area, to someone elses Magicant!" said Poryhedron.
Well, that revelation was inevitable, really.
[Really?] said Pikachu.
"Yeah!" replied Poryhedron. "I believe they connect at the Sea of Eden or the Dark Red Land of Nightmares."
"NIGHTMARES?!" said waffle.
"You know, evil creatures," said Poryhedron.
It is exceptionally poor form in IF to write a scene that your own character is not present for at all. It's banned in most IF boards.

Luna stood gawking at the portal to magicant. "I guess we should go in now..." she mumbled.
"Yeah..." Waffle said, also completly lost with the magicant thing.
Subtle jab at how lame the Magicant thing is.
Suddenly, a tremendous force pulled everyone into the portal. Everyone was screaming their heads off as they headed to who knows where. Suddenly, everything stopped spinning. It just all went black.
**WHAM**
Luna landed hard on somthing. "Uhhh... my head is spinning..." she grumbled to herself, getting up and dusting herself off. Suddenly, she noticed what she'd landed on.
"Waffle!" Luna gasped as she looked down "How'd you get there!?"
"What do you mean, how'd I get here? I got here the same way you did! Through that portal. So why are we in the same magicant?" Waffle grumbled, picking himself up off the ground.
Because you went through the same portal?
I don't know, man. It's pretty out there.
"I have no idea. this'd be a LOT simpler if I knew..."
"Well, let's get going anyways. I wanna check this place out!"
So the two walked off to look around this magicant.
It almost appears to be a combination of minds... Luna thought to herself as she watched a jellyfish walk by, followed by a pudding snackpack. Weird... Luna thought
LOL, at least Luna took the absurdity and made it entertaining.
