Mog was just dancing when he heard Luna screaming "Help! Help!" Mog grabbed his duffel bag and ran to the direction of her voice. He skidded to a halt, almost tripping over Luna, then landed in the Jelly-fish infested waters. Then he remembered, HE CAN'T SWIM! "Help! Luna's paralyzed and I'm DROWNING! There's first-aid kit in the Duffle Bag! HELP!!"
So... you can't swim, but you can tread water! Because that's the only thing I can make of this. Because if you can't tread water, that means you'd be making a sound like "hegriskf! Lsgusdrlgbjlisdruygsdtitgh!!!" while you were, you know, drowning.

Also, this is an ocean shore. That must have been one hell of a trip-and-fall that you landed 30 yards out into the sea, where it finally gets more than five feet deep.

"Oh great, another monster,"Luna thought at first, until she recognized that it was the Yoshi vehicle.
... the Yoshi vehicle? That is the stupidest name for a boat I have ever heard in my life.
"Hang on!" Tim cried out, and fired some stun lasers at the jellyfish.
Luna's safely on the shore and whimpering now, so I assume Tim did that just because, what the hell, it's cool to fire boat-mounted stun lasers at jellyfish. (I am assuming here that Tim has some kind of high technology that helps him locate jellyfish in water, where they are near-invisible.)
"Whoops, I missed,"Tim thought to himself, seeing Mog116 unconsious on the ocean floor.
Unconscious/dead bodies float. They don't sink. Unless they're wearing concrete shoes courtesy of the Syndicate; that could explain why he was having such difficulty swimming.
A claw quickly shot out of the boat and pulled something up. It was a jellyfish, which it quickly released. It went in again and pulled out Mog, Luna, and Mog's duffle bag.
Luna was standing in shallow water. Gotta love the non-continuity from IF writers too busy trying to keep up with the story's pace-of-posting to do more than a single quick skim over the previous posts.
The claw was retracted back to the boat where some heal lasers were fired at Luna and Mog.
... heal lasers? I have a feeling you're going to be wanting those for most of this story. I hope they're detachable.
They were revived, and got out safley in the harbor.

"Thanks Tim!" Mog said. Just then the Speaker's blared: "The Meeting is in Five Minutes!" Everyone stopped their games of Starcraft and SSB and heade to the auditorium.
I find it highly unlikely a gamer community would stop their games of anything for a meeting.
Luna thanked Tim, then followed everyone to the auditorium. "Did you get my duffle bag?" "Yeah." "Thanks." Mog pulled a hover board out of the Duffle bag, slung the duffle bag over his shoulder, then rode the Hover board to the meeting. Tim got in his boat, and drove it around to the Meeting.
LOL @ the 'I'm cooler than you' factor Mog is trying to introduce here. So what if you've got a boat with limitless at-call technology? I have a goddamned hover board. Punk.

Mac was using teleport A when he was flung into a tree ( I now look like the people on earthbound when they hit a tree during teleport) out of nowhere he heard "The Meeting is in Five Minutes!" so he decided to go to this meeting......
Congratulations to our new holder of the 'worst post so far' trophy! I hope we see more of him. IF needs more guys like this.

(Don't worry, I took care of Queen Catherine's above post.)
No idea what he's referring to. My first guess would be editing for profanity.
People began to fill the auditorium for the meeting. Since Chris and Juliana were the only Syndicate members available, they would be running the meeting.
And by 'they' we mean 'Chris'. He's just making sure you maintain the 'Chris and Juliana' connection in your mind. HANDS OFF, YOU PHILANDERING BASTARDS!
"Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to the first Starmen.net Meeting! I apologize for the various monsters and such that have been found floating around the island, we hope to take care of those soon.
We're the goddamned Syndicate. If we wanted them taken care of, they would be taken care of by now. The truth is, they're here because we plan to watch them attack you for our own amusement.
And, regarding your transportation home, I've been told that various people are arranging that now.
As if we care. We can just follow waffle's example and swim the hell home if and when we feel like it. We're AC's, for god's sake.
In the meantime, we'll all enjoy ourselves here.
"First, later this afternoon, there will be a trivia tournament that will be carried on through the next three days.
True fact: earthbound.net actually ran a trivia tournament, way back in 1999. 64 entrants, single elimination bracket. EmperorJade--a Tenguling that almost certainly was cheating--won the tournament final over someone I can no longer remember (Anthadd?) by a score like 8-7 in 10 questions. His prize? A chance to face off against the legendary guruzeth (who ran the tournament and thus didn't participate; not a living soul questioned his EB trivia superiority) live, on IRC, for the EarthBound trivia heavyweight championship of the world, as it were. Ten questions, 30 seconds to answer each, if I'm recalling right.

guruzeth won 10-2.
Anyone is free to enter into it. Also, start preparing your acts for the Earthbound Talent Show at the end of the week. Up to five people can perform together.
"Finally, tonight, we'll be having a formal dance here, in the auditorium.
I'm giggling like a schoolgirl. No points for guessing why Chris would want to organize an imaginary formal dance.
The theme will be, of course, Earthbound, and anyone that wants to help set up decorations, we'd be most appreciative. Be here around 9:00.
"Well, pretty good for the first meeting that I've ever run, eh? Any questions?"
Chris was really a dreamer, if you can't tell already. He was very much into the IF-as-wish-fulfillment angle. And probably a little too obviously earnest for his own good.

  1. LOL. Yeah, many of certain did seem to favor action and violence over mere adventure or relaxation. Probably the basis thought of fledging writers and those who are hopped up on too many action shows and slasher movies. O_o

And as you might have guessed, I was very much one of those people in this IF, but I don't think I'd officially shown up yet at this point. :P
