"Hey!" yelled an excited Tim. "There's a Kraken over there"
"PIKA!"
Pikachu used a Thunderbolt and the thing was dead.

14 Krakens, 109 jellyfish, 17 King Krabs, and 56 others later...
LOL. Ain't it the truth.
[I'm exhausted... Let's go back to the hotel... Hopefully nothing will fall on me...] whimpered an extremly exhausted Pikachu.
"Okay. You go ahead. I'll be back in a while," replied Tim.

Back at the hotel...
[I'm so tired....]Then, all of a sudden, Pikachu remembered something. [I forgot all about the dance! I wonder if I should go?! So far, this gathering has been a big disaster for me. Besides, the chances of getting anyone here of going to the dance are the same as the planet Saturn falling on my head.
Hey, you forgot your closing bracket there. I hate it when I accidentally leave my bracket open.
[Wait... I forgot aboput the Peanut Cheese Bars! I have to go!]
'aboput' sounds like the name of a village in someplace like Indonesia. Just for kicks, I googled 'aboput' just now; nothing comes up except other typos of 'about'.
Pikachu began drooling over the thought of Peanut Cheese Bars.
We put razor blades in them, just for you.

Finally the dance began. At first, a whole lot of party music was being played.
Sounds like he's been to a prom before. ....nahhh.
During this time, Chris wandered over to the snack bar and got something to eat. Then, he sat down, and waited to see if any slow dancing music would ever be played, so that he might actually dance with someone.
Wait a second. Wait just a damn second. Aren't you THE BOSS? If you aren't deciding what music gets played... who is? I'm starting to think you might just be stalling to avoid asking PSI to dance and running the risk of her saying 'no' and reducing your entire life to smoldering ruins.
Elsewhere...

Luna had picked out a relativly nice dress which very closely ressembled paula's.
Wait, are we talking about from the EarthBound official art, or more like the versions Tengu and his crowd were fond of drawing, with the skirt that ends four inches below the navel?

Actually... don't answer that.
She put red ribbons in her hair, and grabbed a small handbag, which conatined a gaia beam, a special jellyfish powder, and a box of altoids.
Baron von Awesome approves of the Altoids. And I think she means anti-jellyfish powder, rather than powder made from jellyfish.
She figured she was as ready as she'd ever be, so she started to head down to the conference room.
"maybe I'll even dance with somone!" She though out loud to herself. "At least there won't be any jellyfish at tonight's dance! I hope..."
Really? I wouldn't bet the farm on it, honestly.

Upon her return to the civilized part of the island, PSI322 went down to the dance hall, just to see what was going on there.
More snacks for me! I hope they stay distracted.
The dance was just starting, it seemed, because not that many people were around. She listened to the music that was playing loudly and went over to the snack table to get something to drink. That something turned out to be a can of cream soda.
Baron von Awesome approves of the cream soda. These gals have solid tastes.
PSI322 took a seat on the sidelines of the dance floor and sipped her soda rather quietly, taking in the music and wondering why she'd been away from everyone else for so long...
PSI had a habit of ending posts (or at least paragraphs) with the wondering-(something)-ellipsis construct. It's as good a way as any to leave things open ended for the next poster. In this case, it's her natural continuing insistence that someone approach her, not the other way around. Chris, gotta warn you, bro--if you don't make your move right about now, one of these other guys milling around is going to.

Waffle walked out of his room to the dance. There were great decorations, music, and food. "Seem to have done a good job..." he said to himself. He saw a few familiar people and greeted them, then walked over to the snacks, and got a cup of punch while he waited and hoped for something to happen.
GOD PEOPLE JUST ASK THE GIRL TO DANCE IT'S NOT THAT HARD

Seriously, if these people can't gather up the courage to ask a girl to dance over the internet at an imaginary dance, no points for guessing how well they did at asking actual girls to dance at actual dances, face to face.

  1. LOL, ain't it the truth we nice guys have an inferiority complex? :\

But to honest points: My AC[s?] isn't here yet, so I couldn't honestly tell you if he would've tried to make any moves on PSI322 or Luna at this point or not [based on myself 10 years ago that is]. The "what-ifs" in this situation are a bit flaky to imagine. :P

  2. Luna, maybe. I'm guessing not on PSI322 for fear of the Wrath of Chris, just then. Plus making plays for a girl via Interactive Fiction wasn't really your style, was it? You were more of a behind-the-scenes guy when it came to, er, making friends.

  3. If by "behind-the-scenes" you meant like AIM/IM-in-general, probably so.
